About us: The Indiana Park & Recreation Association is a statewide non-profit organization representing park professionals from city, county, local and state parks, as well as corporate members who supply products and services to the field. With a full-time staff of three, we serve the needs of both our members, and their communities to advocate for better physical and mental health, conservation and stewardship.Position: Full-time, non-exemptHybrid: office/remote work after 60 daysResponsibilities:Event Planning and Management:IPRA hosts a variety of events throughout the State, including an annual conference and expo, district events, certification trainings, and in-depth professional development opportunities. The M&E Coordinator is responsible for collaborating with our committee members and staff to plan and implement these events, including:Scheduling planning calls with committee members and creating an annual training calendar.Determining the requirements for each event and securing the venue, food & beverage, signage, etc.Creating a website page and online registration form for each event.Creating a marketing plan for each event that includes email and social media.On-site management of events.Administration of our conference management platform.Management of speakers/presentations for the annual conference.Marketing & Membership Communications:Management of the IPRA website.Marketing/communication of events and projects.Production of communications (weekly e-newsletter, print magazine three times per year, various print and digital marketing pieces)Plan and manage social media posts to promote the organization and its programs.Assistance with recruitment and retention of IPRA members through email campaigns.Administration:Preparing invoices for annual memberships and event registrations.Assisting with board activities (prep for Board Meetings, communication, recording meeting minutes, etc.).Administrative support (filing, answering phones, maintaining member database).SkillsAt least three years of marketing or events experience, preferably with a non-profit organization.Experience using QuickBooks, Mail Chimp and Square Space is desired, but not required.Proficiency in MS Office (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).Excellent customer service skills.Attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to nurture ongoing relationships with members to ensure solid retention each year.Excellent communication skills both oral and written. Editing and proofreading ability.Strong computer/technology literacy skills including use of social media/web-site design (training on IPRA website provided).Creativity and ability to think strategically.Strong financial and problem-solving skills.Strong work ethic with excellent time management skills.
