The Marketing and Communications Director at Realities For Children (RFC) plays a crucial role in developing and implementing marketing strategies while creating visually compelling designs to support the organization's mission and objectives. This position is responsible for enhancing brand visibility, managing various marketing channels, driving engagement with Business Members and the community, and producing high-quality graphic designs for both digital and print media.All positions at RFC contribute directly to the children’s experience as well as the success and growth of the organization while supporting our culture of Servant Leadership, Excellence, Integrity, Respect, and Collaboration.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Marketing Leadership:Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and communication strategies to promote RFC's initiatives and brand recognition.Collaborate with the team to align marketing efforts with organizational goals and departmental objectives.Continuously evaluate market trends and competitor activities to adjust strategies as necessary.Digital and Social Media Management:Manage RFC's social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) to maintain a consistent brand presence and engage with the community.Create engaging graphics for RFC’s digital platforms, including social media graphics, email graphics, and digital advertisements.Draft, schedule, and monitor social media content, working closely with RFC staff to ensure alignment with departmental goals.Oversee the management and updates of RFC's website, ensuring content is current and relevant.Content Creation and Distribution:Create and distribute the monthly electronic newsletter, "The Real News," to keep Business Members and the community informed.Develop articles for various publications and manage print media campaigns to enhance RFC's visibility.Create compelling content for various audiences, including press releases, blog posts, and marketing collateral.Graphic Design and Branding:Design and produce various marketing and promotional materials, including digital and print collateral such as flyers, brochures, posters, banners, and event materials.Ensure all designs adhere to RFC’s brand guidelines and effectively communicate the organization’s mission and values.Publication and Collateral Design:Assist in the layout and design of RFC’s publications, including quarterly Directory, annual report, flyers, handouts, and ads for general RFC, Business Members, Partner Agency, and premier event pieces.Ensure consistency in design elements across all publications while creatively presenting information.Event Marketing and Support:Write and implement radio advertisements to promote RFC's premier events, fundraising campaigns, and item distributions.Design event-specific materials such as invitations, signage, merchandise, and promotional items for RFC’s premier events.Manage marketing kits for item distributions, including Back to School, Bikes For Tykes, and Santa’s Workshop.Attend and assist with Business Member luncheons, organizational events, and Premier Events to foster relationships and promote RFC's mission.Creative Development:Stay updated on industry trends, design tools, and software to continuously improve design skills and techniques.Bring innovative ideas and creative solutions to enhance RFC’s visual communication strategies.Partnership and Relationship Management:Negotiate annual trade agreements with partners for marketing services, including print, digital, and radio needs for general RFC and premier events.Foster relationships with Business Members and community partners.Reporting and Analysis:Track and analyze marketing campaign performance, providing regular reports and insights.Use data-driven insights to optimize marketing strategies and improve ROI on marketing investments.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field.Proven experience in developing and executing marketing and communication strategies, preferably in a nonprofit or community-focused organization.Professional experience in graphic design with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects and styles.Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other graphic design software.Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media platforms, and content management systems.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content for various audiences.Strong understanding of typography, layout, color theory, and visual hierarchy.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Additional Information:This position reports to the Executive Director.Flexible schedule may be required.Hours: 40 hours/weekM-F with some nights and weekends as needed for special events.Realities For Children is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
