Geographic Information Systems Technician (GIS)

I have a GIS Technician opening with my client in Cedar Rapids Iowa. This is a full permanent, full time, onsite role.What you'll do:Play a vital role in collecting accurate railroad corridor and asset data through field surveys.Analyze and interpret GIS data using advanced software (experience with ArcGIS a plus but not required).Ensure the accuracy and completeness of data by meticulously reviewing and verifying it.Generate clear and concise reports and documentation to effectively communicate findings.Collaborate effectively with internal and client personnel to achieve project goals.What you bring:A keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic.The ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.A strong understanding of geospatial data concepts (GIS certification or degree preferred).The ability to learn new technologies and software quickly.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.A commitment to safety and adherence to railroad safety procedures.
