Job Responsibilities
Trident Technical College's Business Technology department seeks a Network System Management /Cybersecurity Instructor. This position works under limited supervision, reports to the department head, and primarily teaches courses by providing systematically planned and delivered instruction, designing and developing curriculum, evaluating student performance, and advising students.
To meet the demands of course schedules, faculty must teach varying schedules, including nights and occasional weekends, at various locations, utilizing technology in instruction and different teaching methods. Candidates must be able to function in an environment characterized by continual changes in information technology.Minimum and Additional Requirements
This position requires a master's degree in Computer Networking, Information Systems, Information Technology, Information Security. Candidates with a bachelor's degree in a related computer field will be considered. Candidates with a combined education of a bachelor's degree and an associate's degree in the information technology discipline with at least four (4) or more years of experience in information technology will be considered. Technical certification is preferred for candidates possessing a bachelor's degree.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred candidates will have a a master's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, computer networking, information systems, information security, or a related computer field and technical certification and five (5) years of IT-related work experience. Prior teaching experience is highly desirable. Successful candidates will be familiar with network defense, information assurance, computer hardware, desktop and network operating systems, and Cisco routing and switching. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are essential.Additional Comments
