Position Summary

:

The Senior Manager of Marketing and Communications is responsible for developing, implementing, tracking, and optimizing the Museum's marketing and communications campaigns in line with the Museum's Strategic Marketing and Communications Plan .

The Senior Manager of Marketing and Communications is both a strategic manager and a do-er. This role requires strong people and project management skills, effectively managing key staff and relationships with external partners, working closely with leaders across departments. It also requires excellent execution skills, possessing a keen design eye and the ability to create relevant and engaging content to advance the Museum's marketing and social media campaigns. In addition to driving marketing campaigns aimed at current and potential visitors of the Museum (including families and educators), the Senior Manager of Marketing and Communications will also work with the Development Department to enhance strategic donor communications and media engagement. This position is valuable in supporting the long-term sustainability of the Museum by inspiring, delighting and informing diverse audiences about the Museum, its mission and its offerings. This Senior Manager role requires a strong understanding of best practices in digital marketing, social media, brand awareness/advertising.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

Oversee, plan, and execute all marketing for the Museum, including SEO/SEM, email, social media and advertising campaignsAs the Marketing expert at the Museum, bring new ideas, tactics, and insights to support Imagine's marketing effectiveness to effectively reach targeted audiences.Lead Museum efforts to develop Museum's awareness of its audiences and audience segments, and how best to reach them.Plan, organize and prioritize multiple, simultaneous projects with the ability to drive an overall project management process and to effectively manage deadlines and all relevant campaign budgets, reporting, and monthly reconciliation of accounts.Coordinate across departments, partners, and service providers to accomplish strategic objectives; obtain necessary consent and provide final approval on all communication materials and plans. Strategize, plan and create content to increase the Museum's social media presence, creating dynamic linkages with Museum website.Produce the Museum's weekly e-newsletter, create relevant website landing pages and optimize website user experience.Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate digital experience across multiple channels and touch points.Work in a team environment with Museum staff to advance shared goals, embracing other duties as assigned to advance the goals of the Communications Department and Museum as a whole.Help set, implement and report on a cohesive marketing and communication plan.Create monthly high-level reporting/analytics dashboards to evaluate experience across multiple channels and touch points.Harness the power of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM) to build brand awareness and increase website traffic.Measure and assess all marketing campaigns against strategic goals (ROI and KPIs), identifying trends and insights, and optimizing performance based on the insights.Plan, execute, and measure experiments and conversion tests.Requirements

BA/BS degree and/or related experience

5+ years' experience working in marketing/communications with increasing responsibility

Prior supervision or manager experience required

Supervisory Responsibility:

Pay: $70,000 to $78,000 based on experience.
