Position Summary

The Data and Contracts Marketing Manager will lead a team to support Chord Marketing in a variety of areas, including contract management, counterparty settlements, system maintenance and optimization, preparation of Accounting deliverables, audit and compliance. Internal communication is required with various departments including Legal, Treasury, IT, Financial Reporting and Accounting along with external communication with companies with whom Marketing transacts its business. This position reports directly to the Midstream Director and is located in downtown Houston, TX. Hybrid work schedule is an option for remote work on Mondays and Fridays. Level and salary commensurate with experience.

Essential Job FunctionsTrain, develop and supervise teamMonthly crude and gas pricing accrualsManage process to accurately accrue monthly oil and gas sales prices, as well as gathering and transportation expensesReview all deliverables prepared by teamCollaborate with Accounting to understand and explain Marketing deals, market trends and monthly financial variances

Ensure timeliness and accuracy of monthly crude and gas settlement process with counterpartiesManage EMK3 Marketing systemUnderstand all team workflowsOversee and drive system upgrades and enhancementsEnsure completeness and accuracy of all Marketing transactions in system

Contract managementEstablish and maintain scalable process for archiving Marketing and Midstream agreementsEnsure compliance and accuracy of daily transactions and associated contractsUnderstand all Chord MVCs and oversee tracking process

Develop strong understanding of Marketing commercial business and Midstream operationsProvide innovative perspective to establish efficient team processesLiaison between commercial groups, auditors and AccountingWork cross-functionally to move necessary department projects forwardThis job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and responsibilities of the position. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degreeTen (10) years of oil and gas industry experience, specifically working with oil and gas accounting, and/or Marketing and MidstreamFive (5) years of experience as a supervisor or leadStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsProficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPointAbility to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment; flexible with the demands of a growing companyStrong communication and organizational skills; ability to develop and maintain harmonious working relationships with employees at all levels and vendorsDemonstrated leadership skills and experience in a variety of areas including facility, budget development, employee supervision and development, and project managementAbility to lead diverse and distant teams through change and organizational transformationDetail orientated with the ability to prioritize multiple projectsAbility to meet deadlines and the ability to produce results under tight deadlinesPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions: Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, strength to lift and carry files weighing up to 10 pounds, vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
