We are hiring a full-time Marketing & Communications Specialist to support our team. This position will play a key role in developing and implementing effective communications and marketing strategies to support internal and external communications and fundraising. This role is based in St Paul, Minnesota, with a hybrid office environment. The pay range for this position is $22.00-$25.00 / hour. In this role, you will: Create content: generate compelling content for various platforms, including social media, newsletters, appeal letters, and events. Develop ideas and content for feature articles, interviews, presentations, and other activities that promote awareness of YW and its programs and services. Support digital campaigns via Facebook, email, etc. Track social media analytics. Create content for the website and keep the website content relevant and up to date. Generate templates for YW staff to use such as letterhead, brochures, presentations, forms, surveys, and calendars. Inform YW staff on community relations projects and activities. Inform staff of key articles and information on matters relating to YW, our mission, program focus, and trends. Assist with planning, organizing, and executing YW events including but not limited to fundraisers, community outreach events, and program-related events. Work closely with the Advancement team and other departments to promote events through various channels. Promote partner organization events. Keep apprised of relevant events held by partner organizations, City, and others. Create event collateral and event social media content. Coordinate event logistics such as set up and tear down, d cor, A/V, collateral, and tabling needs. Volunteer Coordination: Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to support event activities, create volunteer roles and responsibilities, and provide clear instructions and guidance to volunteers during events. Vendor Coordination: Work with vendors such as caterers, printers, and mailing houses. Media Relations: Research media outlets for news stories about YW and our programs. Ensure the media contact list is updated in the CRM database with current contact information. Material content: Develop written materials including press releases, statements, and other content. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time, non-exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). YWCA St. Paul s regular business hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Limited weekend and evening hours are required as needed. Most of the time will be spent in the office, but remote work hours are possible and contingent upon agreement with the leadership team.
