As a Senior Manager on our Research Team, you will lead and develop a team of talented researchers while spearheading the implementation of efficient processes to drive success and excellence across the team. You'll help your team collaborate closely with business leaders, product marketers, product managers, designers, and engineers to conduct exploratory, formative, and evaluative research studies, empowering stakeholders to make informed, confident decisions.What You'll Do:Lead and Develop:

Manage a group of talented researchers, fostering excellence and growth through mentorship, coaching, and skill developmentDrive Research Excellence:

Help improve our processes to raise the bar on our work quality, ensuring impactful outcomes that drive our objectives forwardEngage Stakeholders:

Build strong company-wide relationships, ensuring alignment on key questions and research priorities to address critical needsCollaborate Cross-Functionally:

Partner closely with Business, Design, Product, Marketing and Engineering teams to integrate research efforts into our product development lifecycleActively help shape the direction of both SoFi and the Research team

What You'll Need:8+ years of experience in Research, at least 3 as a formal people managerStrong expertise in coaching, performance management, and team member developmentCommand of a broad set of quantitative, qualitative, and user-centered methodsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to synthesize and communicate ideas visually, verbally, and in writing to all levels including senior leadership and executivesExperience managing and prioritizing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously including building and managing research pipelines across multiple business areasExperience with research tools such as Qualtrics, UserZoom, Maze, dScout, etc.Nice to have - SQL, R, Python experienceA degree in Design, HCI, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Anthropology, or a related field is considered an advantageBonus: Domain expertise in personal finances

Compensation and BenefitsThe base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and location.
