We are seeking an experienced marketing technology and analytics professional to join an expanding Marketing Operations team and build out a robust audience-insights program.

The Associate Director, Marketing Operations and Analytics, reporting to the Senior Director, Marketing Operations and Analytics, will help create a robust audience-insights program to clearly, quickly, and continually analyze our marketing efforts and educator and donor engagement. They are also responsible for co-leading the delivery, support and continuous improvement of the organization's marketing technology stack, specifically Hubspot, Segment and BigQuery. They will play an important role in collaborating with the Digital and CRM teams to evolve our audience data and engagement strategy.

We run the organization’s brand and analyze its audience of educators, donors, and other supporters across the world. We are a fast-paced highly collaborative team with a good sense of humor.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

Platform Strategy and Management:

  • Key thought-partner with Marketing and Tech leadership on platform and analytics strategy.
  • Management of the Hubspot platform, its complex workflow rules, triggers, and specifically its integration with Salesforce.
  • Management of Segment, our new customer data platform ensuring that data passes seamlessly across the martech stack in service of the marketing funnel and audience analysis.
  • Co-manage BigQuery and ongoing audience analytics work.
  • Co-manage Google Analytics 4 and GTM along with marketing and digital operations colleagues.

Dashboards, Reporting and Analysis:

  • Work closely with Data Analyst on audience reporting, as well as wireframing and developing dashboards for audience engagement, digital marketing and other relevant needs.
  • Manage and improve process around data-requests from colleagues, both web and contact-related including the work of a consultant focused on GA4 product line reporting dashboards.
  • Define and track marketing funnel KPIs, align stakeholders on their definitions, set clear benchmarks, and share data visualizations and performance dashboards.
  • Together with CRM, Digital and Marketing colleagues co-create a robust audience-insights program, planning the roll out and support process for the wider organization.

Essential Skills and Qualities:

  • 4-7 years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, analytics, computer science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Deep understanding of data platforms and analytics tools.
  • Experience building dashboards using data visualization or business intelligence tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI
  • Experience with Google Analytics 4 and BigQuery.
  • Experience with Marketing and CRM tools, especially Hubspot and Salesforce.
  • Familiarity with working with a Customer Data Platform (CDP).
  • Familiarity with SQL, javascript or other programming languages.
  • Ability to work independently, and to perform analysis and draw conclusions from the resulting data sets.
  • Proficiency in developing and overseeing the roll out of dashboards, reporting tools, and other data strategy initiatives.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional partners

Remote First Work Model (For HQ): Facing History and Ourselves operates in a remote first work model, allowing staff flexibility in both schedules and work locations. This particular position is home-based. Travel is required for various in person retreats and meetings.
