PURPOSE OF JOB:
The library clerk provides a library media program that supports the curriculum by providing resources and training so that both students and teachers become independent users of information.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following (other duties may be assigned):Become familiar with the Library Destiny Software systemAssist teachers with requests for materials, etc.Collect fees for lost booksCollect and sort through the mail each dayRepair books that have been damagedPut the books away that were checked in each dayHelp students that come to the library on a passAssist with staff and students with copy machineChanging the calendar on the library wall each month and decorating it with appropriate monthly eventsAssist the Library Media Specialist with needed library forms or teaching materialsAssist the Library Media Specialist with supervision of students in the libraryEnsure library shelves and computer areas are neat and orderlyAll other duties as assigned
Reports to: Director of Student Services

Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
? Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
? Hold or be eligible for Missouri Teaching or Substitute Teacher Certificate
? Experience in a K-5 setting
