Overview:

HKS is searching for a talented Sr. Interior Designer to join our Venues Interiors team.

A recognized leader and certified Interior Designer who is responsible for delivering exceptional design and delivery for clients on time and on budget. Possesses strong communication skills, a flexible attitude, ability to solve problems creatively and ability to foster and manage effective client relationships. Responsible for high-impact decisions. Endorses the firm's values by personally influencing client service, innovation and communication. Acts as subject matter expert for design solutions.

Responsibilities:Leads team in planning work and developing solutions to technical and design detail problemsBuilds and strengthens connections with clients through a comprehensive understanding of their project mission, goals, policies and needsLeads development of interiors concepts based on client vision, desire and architectural conceptUtilizes creative thinking to achieve innovative solutionsManages client's expectations, team communications and consultant coordination to meet overall project objectivesPrepares and reviews detailed implementation document sets (i.e., interior plans, fixture plans, elevations, details)Supervises the preparation of design details and drawings by project team to maintain quality control with a focus on designGenerates project documents and schedules, manages the finances and keeps the project on scheduleCollaborates in the development of cost estimates for design proposalsCollaborates on all design phases including programming client needs, conceptual and schematic design, design development, document preparation and construction administrationWorks with others through project phases to enhance the design by specializing in the FF&E sourcing, selection, custom design and specificationAttends on-site visits, field reviews and project meetingsParticipates and may lead team meetings to discuss project issues, technical issues and coordination with other disciplinesActively invests in the professional development of staff through mentoring, motivating, performance management and career planningDevelops, recognizes, recruits and grows diverse talentManages conflict effectively and encourages a healthy team environmentCollaborates in managing project to satisfy requirements from budget and schedule perspective while delivering a quality work productSupports and may lead the business development process by identifying new opportunities, marketing current clients for repeat business and assisting with proposals, budgets and schedulesIdentifies, maintains and cultivates essential relationshipsMay lead proposal preparation process and participates in negotiation of scope and fees on contractsMay participate in marketing interviewsQualifications:

Accredited professional degree in Interior Design, Architecture, related field or equivalent experienceNCIDQ certification requiredExperience with the entire project lifecycle, through post-occupancySustainable design accreditation preferredTypically 15+ years of experienceProficiency in software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator and SketchUp preferredUnderstanding of 3D Studio Max and InDesign preferredWorking knowledge of furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) software preferredProficiency in MS Office Suite preferredAdvanced knowledge of sustainability and integrated design guidelinesAdvanced knowledge of FF&E to carry out design intentKnowledge of design techniques, tools and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, drawings and modelsStrong graphic and visualization skills to communicate design ideasExperience with managing and performing duties in a fast-paced environmentStrong presentation skillsAbility to communicate in a clear, concise and professional manner both verbally and in writing

Base Salary Range: $100K - 130k annually - for Denver, Los Angeles, New York, San Diego, Washington DC, and Seattle locations only
