POSITION SUMMARY

The DTC Marketing Manager is responsible for leading and executing all aspects of the company's Host Defense and Fungi Perfecti e-commerce websites, developing digital marketing strategies, driving online sales and increasing brand awareness. The DTC Marketing Manager exhibits a strong command of current marketing tools, integrated strategies, and best practices to support digital tactics from concept to execution. The DTC Marketing Manager manages a growing team across multiple digital channels including social and web and works with other teams to successfully accomplish department goals and campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in consumer goods, e-commerce best practices, and a track record of successfully building and leading online growth.

The DTC Marketing Manager will report directly to the Senior Marketing Manager. This is a full-time exempt position; Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and is located in Olympia, WA. Hybrid or remote work arrangement, must be located within the Puget Sound area. Local travel is occasionally required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

DTC Website Strategy

Develops and implements a comprehensive DTC strategy aligned with company goals and market trends.Tracks and analyzes KPIs, including traffic, conversion rates, average order value, and customer lifetime value. Generate regular reports and insights to inform decision-making, measuring the effectiveness of initiatives to drive continuous improvement.Collaborates with cross-functional teams to research, propose, and launch website tools, apps, enhancements, and advancements based on business goals, industry trends, and user feedback to enhance customer site functionality and performance to drive conversion and retention.Leads initiatives to acquire new customers and implement strategies for customer retention, loyalty programs, and personalized experiences.Ensures that the DTC channel aligns with and enhances the overall brand image and value.Website Operations Management

Assumes responsibility for the daily operations, design, content, development, and maintenance of the DTC website, ensuring optimal user experience, functionality, and performance.Oversees merchandising of site and new product uploads; manage updates to product listings, descriptions, and content on the eCommerce platform to ensure accurate product information.Cultivates relationships with technology vendors and third-party service providers.Stays informed about current regulations and ensures compliance with relevant laws and industry guidelines.Collaborates with IT team to ensure web-readiness for planned digital projects and efforts.UI/UX Development

Oversees UI/UX, including site navigation, content development, and innovation technologies to enhance site operations.Analyzes website performance metrics and user behavior data to implement strategies to identify opportunities to enhance user interface, navigation, checkout process, and customer service.Conducts thorough audits of the website to identify usability issues, friction points, and barriers to conversion.Understands target audience(s) key needs/desires and purchase behavior in their purchase journey.Digital Marketing

Manages SEO, SEM, email marketing, paid ads, and social media strategy to drive sales and brand awareness and engagement. Analyze data to track marketing effectiveness and identify new opportunities or strategies.Strategizes paid ad campaigns to optimize spending, achieve sales goals, hit ROAs targets, and forecast ad trends to ensure consistent performance. Develop and manage methods of attribution to demonstrate ROI from digital marketing efforts.Collaborates with the marketing team to plan and execute digital marketing campaigns aimed at driving traffic, brand awareness, customer acquisition, and sales conversion.Works with leadership team and marketing team to plan and execute marketing calendar and develops digital marketing strategies to support new product launch initiatives.Manages content creation process including graphic design, email design, video editing, and animation for all digital channels. Supports and is on set for photo/video shoots as needed.Team Leadership

Manages growing digital marketing team, overseeing performance, engagement, and development of employees. Conduct weekly meetings and annual performance evaluations, helping employees to establish and meet goals.Works to develop collaboration and communication between internal team member and cross functional teams.Provides strong leadership, modeling the Fungi Perfecti culture of diversity, inclusion, respect and open communication.KEY REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

Six (6) years+ experience in a DTC management and digital marketing, including both individual contributor and supervisory duties. Experience with Shopify or similar e-commerce platform required.Four (4) or more years of supervisory experience.BS/BA in Marketing or Business or related field; substantially relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.Proven track record of successfully driving revenue growth and achieving business objectives in the DTC space within the consumer goods sector.Advanced marketing tech stack including experience with digital marketing strategies, tactics, best practices, technologies, and channels, including SEO/SEM, email, paid ads and social media.Strong understanding of web design principles and UI/UX best practices.Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate.Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret and leverage data for strategic decision-making.Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate technical challenges and solutions to a non-technical audience.Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.Ability to collaborate with a team remotely.Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to adapt to new challenges.Ability to occasionally work beyond normal business hours and weekends if needed.Ability to travel to different work locations as needed; infrequent local travel may be required.Possess a valid driver's license acceptable in the state of Washington.PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Wage Range: $85,000 - $115,000 per year
