Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Music Therapist to join our team. The Music Therapist will work directly with children with special needs, using music interventions to address their individual goals and needs. RequirementsConduct individual and group music therapy sessions for children with special needsDevelop and implement personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings and client goalsUtilize a variety of music-based interventions to address physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needsCollaborate with other members of the therapy team, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and behavior analystsMaintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions, progress notes, and client outcomesCommunicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and other team members to ensure continuity of care and progress toward goalsBenefits
Certification in Music Therapy from an accredited programExperience working with children with special needs, preferably in a clinical or educational settingStrong understanding of child development and therapeutic principlesProficiency in creating and adapting music activities to meet the diverse needs of clientsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary teamPassion for making a positive difference in the lives of children and families
