Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and qualified Art Therapist to join our team. The Art Therapist will work with children with special needs, using art-based interventions to promote self-awareness, emotional regulation, and social skills development. Requirements
Key Responsibilities:Conduct individual and group art therapy sessions for children with special needsDevelop and implement personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings and client goalsFacilitate art-based activities that encourage self-expression, creativity, and emotional explorationCreate a safe and supportive environment where children feel empowered to explore their thoughts and feelings through artCollaborate with other members of the therapy team, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and behavior analystsRequirements:
Take data and monitor progress toward therapy goals, adjusting interventions as neededMaintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions, progress notes, and client outcomesCertification in Art Therapy from an accredited programExperience working with children with special needs, preferably in a clinical or educational settingStrong understanding of child development and therapeutic principlesProficiency in creating and adapting art activities to meet the diverse needs of clientsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary teamPassion for helping children reach their full potential through art therapyBenefits
