We are seeking a highly skilled Senior User Experience Designer to join our financial services client, to provide expert guidance and technical expertise in user experience activities, including user research, interactive design, and visual design. This role involves leading complex UX projects, conducting user research, and ensuring our products meet the highest standards of usability and user satisfaction. This role is hybrid in Pittsburgh, PA. Only local candidates will be considered for this role.Key Responsibilities:Perform and provide guidance on user research, usability testing, surveys, interviews, work studies, and heuristic evaluations.Review and document research findings to inform product and development teams.Actively participate and provide guidance in creating concepts, information architecture, user interface designs, wireframes, storyboards, prototypes, and specifications to meet project schedules.Lead the implementation of visual styles that support platform branding to enhance user effectiveness.Interpret user feedback and insights to continuously improve the user experience.Serve as a reviewer of usability activities and artifacts to ensure software applications meet customer expectations.Provide UX expertise during the product definition and evaluation process using diverse sources of information, including field work, interviews, internet/intranet research, and market data.Independently create and update user interface and visual design guidelines and standards.Advocate for the user experience across the firm and facilitate training for teams outside the UX department.Ensure that developed or revised products achieve user goals through user-centered analysis, design, best practices, and standards.Contribute to the achievement of departmental and organizational objectives.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in psychology, user experience, design, human-computer interaction, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.Advanced degree preferred.8-10 years of experience in UX design and research.Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.Extensive knowledge and experience in user research and testing methodologies.Proficiency in interactive and visual design.Strong leadership and communication skills to guide teams and present findings.Ability to independently manage and lead complex UX projects.Familiarity with industry best practices and standards in user-centered design.
