Essential Functions



Responsible for strategic oversight for all aspects of marketing for the Casino, Racing, OTB Network including Advertising, Direct Marketing, Players Club, Promotions and Player Development in order to drive business results and improve our overall guest experiences.Establishes and administers procedures pertaining to the proper coordination of all operating activities relating to assigned departments, with special emphasis on guest service, compliance, internal controls, and security of company funds.Supervises and directs the day-to-day operations of areas of responsibility through assigned department managers and supervisors; counseling, guiding, and instructing them in the proper performance of their duties.Serves as key liaison between corporate marketing stakeholders (Corporate Marketing, Database/Campaign Marketing & CRM, Analytics) and strategic partners (Ad Agency, etc.)Controls expenses in assigned departments, checks profit and loss statements daily.Plans, develops, and implements revised procedures to improve efficiency and profitability of assigned areas.Ensures the merit program is properly administered in the departments supervised and that periodic performance reviews are prepared for all assigned employees.Coordinates, improves, and recommends training programs; ensure effective implementation of training programs.Prepare and execute all special/promotional events and determine the targeted database selection for events.Review analysis and identifies promotions/events schedule for the casino customer base to ensure targeted markets are maintained.Oversees Player Development area to coordinate and implement player programs that are sustainable, and profitableDirect and monitor all marketing analysis for accuracy and reports pertinent information to the General Manager.Must be well versed and experienced in campaign management, Profit and Loss statements, budget, and market plans.Director is responsible for developing and coordinating programs to attract mid to high limit players and host such guests to ensure guest satisfaction and repeat visits.Analyze customer database for; demographics, spend, revenue, profitability, frequency, recency, past dues, in-actives, and make recommendations to increase visitations and spend.Must be able to quantify all expenditures with pro-formas and compare to actual results.Create and execute all major racing special events.Present yearly plan to Racing Commission.Performs other related duties as assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities:

Required Skills and Abilities:

Demonstrated leadership and management abilities.Demonstrated ability to strategize and plan over a one-to-three-year period.Thorough knowledge of market developments, strategies, and practices.Strong public speaking/presentation and communication skills.Strong skills in Microsoft applications and other necessary computer applications.Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, finance, or related fieldFive to seven years of progressive marketing experienceExperience in a gamily or hospitality setting preferredLicenses/Certificates:

Must be 21 years or older. Must be able to obtain a Gaming and Racing License from Louisiana Racing Commission.Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
