Opening in 1st quarter of 2025, Owensboro Racing & Gaming will be CDI’s newest state-of-the-art venue featuring 600 state-of-the-art historical racing machines (HRMs), a retail sportsbook, simulcast wagering and multiple food and beverage offerings.

We are actively seeking a

Director of Marketing

to stand-up, oversee, coordinate and participate in the development of marketing strategies for the organization to increase profitability among customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversees the hiring, training, development and supervision of Marketing department staffPlans and organizes workloads and staff assignments as well as trains, motivates and evaluates assigned staffEstablishes department standards, guidelines, and objectives, and maintains other administrative processes such as budget and staffing to ensure proper planning and efficient operation of assigned areasCollects and analyzes target market data and trends to implement effective marketing approachesDevelops and executes marketing campaigns, advertising, and promotional activities to ensure the achievement of maximum profitabilityOversees the development and execution of special events to increase property visitationCollaborates with executives and other departments to develop growth plans for the organization and maintain organizational standardsCoordinates with outside vendors and prepares contracts in the execution of promotions and campaignsIdentifies opportunities to strengthen customer relationships as well as new market segments to provide support for the organization’s operational strategiesInteracts directly with guests to develop relationships as well as strengthen the facility’s position as a strong corporate citizen and valuable community partnerBuilds and implements the property Branding, Advertising, Promotional, Players Club, Player Development, and Public Relations strategies that effectively meet the property’s operational needsMaintains knowledge of the organization’s current and emerging products and services to effectively promote themAssists with the preparation of the departmental budget and operating forecasts while maintaining related records and filesPerforms other duties as assignedREQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Demonstrated ability to lead people and obtain resultsDemonstrated ability to strategize and plan over a one-to-three-year periodThorough knowledge of market developments, strategies, and practicesStrong public speaking/presentation and communication skillsStrong skills in Microsoft applications and other necessary computer applicationsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related fieldMaster’s degree or additional certifications preferredSix to seven years of progressive experience in marketingGaming or hospitality knowledge preferredMust obtain valid gaming license, where applicablePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
