Public Relations Director

LHH is currently recruiting for a Public Relations Director for our client in the Houston, TX area. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of public relations, media relations, and crisis communications experience preferably within the healthcare industry. This is an onsite role at our clients office in the Houston area.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive public relations strategies to enhance the organizations brand image and reputation
Identify opportunities to promote the organizations achievements, services, and community impact
Collaborate with external PR agencies when needed to execute strategic initiatives
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with local, regional, and national media outlets
Act as the primary spokesperson for the organization, preparing and delivering statements, press releases, and media briefings
Monitor media coverage and respond to media inquiries
Develop and implement crisis communication plans to address potential issues and mitigate risks
Lead the crisis communication team during emergencies, ensuring timely and accurate dissemination of information
Train staff on crisis communication protocols and best practices
Oversee the creation of press releases, media kits, speeches, and other PR materials
Collaborate with the marketing team to produce compelling content that aligns with the organizations messaging and goals
Maintain brand guidelines across all communications
Monitor the effectiveness of PR campaigns and initiatives, using analytics to and feedback to refine strategies
Prepare regular reports on PR activities and outcomes for senior management
Qualifications:
8-10 years of communications experience
Proven track record in public relations, media relations, and crisis communications
Healthcare industry experience highly preferred
Bachelors degree in public relations, communications, journalism or related field
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong media relations skills and network of media contacts
Ability to work onsite in Houston, TX

Pay Details:
$100,000.00 to $140,000.00 per year
