Overview:

Develops and maintains complex financial, accounting and operating reports using Crystal Reports Designer, Tableau, Cognos, Workday/Office Connect and other tools. Performs as a technical expert in one or more specialized areas of application system support, configuration, and/or the accounting for development of new products and product enhancements. Provides technical and/or programming support for ASAR-designed processes, as well as other enterprise systems and issues/defects that impact accounting. Collaborates with end users and managers in the development of business requirements for reporting, system configuration and product accounting. Acts as owner and consultant for system administration and maintenance functions across Controller systems, ensuring that systems and processes are designed to meet user needs in an efficient manner. Supervises the work of others performing system administration tasks. Leads in the development of analysis tools and participates on special projects as a project/sub-project manager and subject matter expert. Provides advice/expertise on feasibility of proposed requests, projects and technology. Has knowledge of Controller business processes, technical accounting/finance requirements and technology. Works with minimal supervision and is responsible for making an established range of decisions, escalating to manager when necessary and updating manager on a regular basis.Responsibilities:What you will do:Works with business units in the creation and streamlining of financial, accounting, expense management and other operating reports within Crystal Report Designer and other tools.Produces or modifies macros and/or programs to improve upon critical business processes and solve accounting system and program problems/issues/defects. Utilizes tools such as VBA, SQL and various software developer toolkits to accomplish the objective at hand. Recommends courses of action on new application configurations. Performs extensive research, analysis, definition and documentation on all facets of the job.Directs activities for projects by functioning as a sub-project leader and/or advisor for assigned Controller projects. Coordinates activities between IT, ASAR and other Controller team members.Assists manager in maintaining control of reporting framework, including coordinating new report development process and continuously seeking opportunities to streamline reporting needs.Designs and develops analysis tools to help manage the business.Takes ownership of and acts as a consultant for the system administration and maintenance functions of various accounting systems supported by the department, including the general ledger, expense reimbursement system, reconciliation tools, financial planning, financial controls, and compliance workflow systems. Supervises and assists the Business Operations & Report Writing Analyst with system administration and maintenance tasks.Maintains the general ledger chart of accounts, and has an in-depth understanding of the chart of account changes and their impact to the reporting framework.Provides instruction to the end users for ad hoc reporting and system administration functions.Leads the coordination of Comptroller participation in new product development/feeder system changes, including pre-implementation testing and defect resolution.Proactively seeks to improve business and technical processes to drive inefficiencies out of the business.Assists in the investigation, design, development and implementation of effective processes and procedures for completing and improving work.Readily shares unique knowledge and skill sets. Documents new procedures and maintains existing documentation as changes occur.Performs other duties as assignedComplies with all policies and standardsQualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business field, preferably with a degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.(Required)Typically having five or more years experience. (Required)Demonstrated system administration, user configuration and general maintenance function experience. (Required)Demonstrated technical aptitude and problem-solving experience. (Required)Cite examples of complex reports developed and the process used in their development.Demonstrated communication, technology, organization and analytical skills.Proven ability to respond quickly when priorities change.
