SUMMARY

With a dynamic, charismatic presence, the Marketing Director inspires hearts and minds with the vision and operations of Hope & Help, exceeding community outreach, expansion, and fundraising targets and goals.

The role reports to and works closely with the executive director and is responsible and accountable for the final approval for designing, implementing, and managing integrated development plans including, but not limited to, marketing, events, fundraisers, HIV/AIDS awareness activities, public relations/media correspondence, social media content publication, marketing/brand messaging, legacy giving, and annual education/giving campaigns.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Development and Marketing Department ManagementDevelops and manages the Development and Marketing Department budget to ensure conformity with agency requirements.Reports the Development and Marketing Department status to the Executive Director.Collaborates effectively with senior management team members in developing and implementing organization-wide policies and programs that will contribute to the overall success of the development and marketing department.Brand Management, Communication, and Media Coverage

Responsible for all marketing initiatives, identifying potential sources of demand and articulating a strategy for branding, marketing, and public relations, creating a streamlined, consistent message to clients, potential clients, community partners, and donors.Ensures the highest level of customer commitment and service through relationships and expansion, responding promptly to queries and concerns while taking great pride in building brand affinity.Treats every single interaction as an opportunity to provide impeccable customer service through superb oral and written communication and to represent the organization with the highest degree of professionalism.Nurtures relationships over the phone during both busy and slow seasons for the organization.Responsible for all public relations (PR) copy and marketing communications in conjunction with the Executive Director, including pitching to aggressively pursue media coverage; developing press releases, media kits, launch events, galleries, review letters, and related promotional materials.Community Representation and Partnerships

Networks/partners with other HIV/AIDS resources agencies and local social service agencies to enhance, facilitate, and expand agency awareness and services, including identifying potential partnership opportunities.Represents Hope & Help through various speaking engagements related to development and business relationship recruitment, including representing Hope & Help at community partnership meetings and events such as The Pride Chamber and HIV Planning Council.Represents Hope & Help through various speaking engagements related to volunteer recruitment, expanded community education, and donor recruitment.Fundraising Strategy, Development, and Management

Creates, implements, manages, and supervises all aspects of fundraising for the organization to ensure the organization's financial capability to aid its clients and fulfill its purpose.Implements an annual fundraising strategy, including quarterly activities and metrics.Oversees and implements fundraising strategies.Plans, coordinates, and supervises all aspects of annual fundraising events (Example: AIDS Walk Orlando) to meet annual income projections for our Patience Assistant Programs.Identifies, cultivates, solicits, sustains, and stewards existing and new individual, foundation, and corporate donors; maintains a portfolio of corporate and individual donors and identifies opportunities for increased support, particularly among top and/or regular donors.Ensures data management is streamlined, accurate, and readily available.Plans and directs all direct-mail solicitations, including regular donor mailings and telephone campaigns.Helps coordinate fundraising articles for various publications.Digital Marketing (Email, Social Media, and Content Marketing)

Plans and markets initiatives for a consistent message and increases Hope & Help's brand awareness.Develops and manages Hope & Help's consistent online presence, including Hope & Help's website, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn, through creating and scheduling posts and creating/approving content for social media accounts.Supports the department's initiatives with the planning, executing, and tracking of marketing programs such as email, social media, and content marketing.Analyzes metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and recommends changes to improve reach, visibility, content quality, and messaging.Fosters collaboration with social media freelancers, influencers, advocates, and other individuals of influence to advance the organization's mission, audience, and online representation.Writes and edits content for digital marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, annual reports, and email campaigns.OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs other work-related duties and special projects as assigned.

This position supervises those in the Marketing Department.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Public Relations, Marketing, Business, or related field and a minimum of three (3) years' experience in development /fundraising activities, including event planning, communications, and marketing,

or

a minimum of five (5) years experience in development/fundraising activities, including event planning, communications, or marketing in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, and REGISTRATIONS

A valid Florida Driver's License is required.
