Description

We're seeking a Marketing Project Coordinator to join us in our mission to make Cary a global name! This is an incredible opportunity to work for one of the country's best employers in local government. As a member of our in-house marketing team, your work will directly contribute to Cary's growing presence on national and international stages, creating new and exciting opportunities for our community.

As a Marketing Project Coordinator, you'll manage multiple projects, including Council-related initiatives and high-profile marketing campaigns with multiple stakeholders and contributors. Your job is to lead these projects from discovery to completion, coordinating timelines, meetings, and file and stakeholder management. You'll also play an important part in supporting staff with their communications planning, so you should have a solid understanding of marketing and communications strategies such as audience identification, objective setting, and tactical planning.

We're seeking an activator who thrives on turning ideas into actions. When presented with an opportunity you can't wait to make it happen, driving the project forward by motivating and rallying others. Comfortable with challenges, you embrace new experiences as learning opportunities.

While the technical requirements of this position are important, the intangibles and soft skills you bring to the table - such as attention to detail, follow-through, and persistence - will be key to your success as a project manager. A great sense of humor, a desire to build relationships, and strong self-awareness will make you impactful within the organization.

We invite you to join us and become an integral part of Cary's journey!
