WORK WEEK SCHEDULE

Monday-Friday (occasional evenings and weekends) Position is eligible for Hybrid Telework workweek

POSITION PURPOSE:

Plans, implements, and supports marketing and outreach to community partners and families for the four MSAP Synergy schools in compliance with departmental and district system procedures and protocols with the goals of increasing interest and applications as well as to engaging community partners and families to contribute positively to their students' academic success.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs)Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Google Apps;Critical thinking skills with the ability to solve problems;Excellent organizational and time management skills;Ability to perform data analysis and make data-informed decisions;Ability to organize, design, and deliver learning experiences for families and community partners related to magnet theme integration in core instruction;Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form using a variety of communication techniques and tools to ensure the appropriate flow of information, collaborative efforts, and feedback;Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school system staff, students, parents, and other stakeholders.EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university;Experience as a classroom teacher and/or instructional coach at a public elementary, middle, or high school;Experience in designing and delivering professional development to adults in large and small group settings;Experience working with diverse learners;Experience with website development and maintenance;Experience with marketing, communication, and social media campaigns.CERTIFICATION AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

Must hold or be eligible to hold a North Carolina professional educator's licensure with licensure in a teaching area;Must hold and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's license according to NC requirements.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Three years of experience teaching and/or serving as a magnet coordinator in a Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) magnet school;Bi-lingual (English and Spanish);Proficient in marketing research and statistical analysis;Experience in establishing and maintaining collaborative customer engagement relationships.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

:Assists MSAP project schools in the creation and implementation of targeted marketing and recruitment plans that promote diversity as outlined in the MSAP grant.Cultivates community partnership to support program sustainability.Plans, supports, and implements family and community engagement activities for the MSAP project schools and surrounding communities.Collaborates with WCPSS departments (Student Assignment, Communications, etc.) in support of marketing and recruitment, including but not limited to brand standards, media coverage, etc.Coordinates media advertising to include both print and digital advertising for the MSAP project schools.Assists with project schools' website development and maintenance.Utilizes social media for marketing and recruitment purposes.Monitors and tracks priority applicant demographic data and school enrollment.Performs other related duties, as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, scanners, and copiers. The position, at times, must be able to come into direct contact with school system staff, staff members of external funding agencies, and the community. Work is considered light physical work, requiring the exertion of up to ten pounds of force. The work requires driving automotive equipment.
