REQUIRED:High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required in English;One (1) year of related
experience required; experience in the general office setting with specialized training in computers and
numerous software programs required.A valid Texas Driver's License and an acceptable driving record.
SUMMARYDesigns, copies and prepares layout of all required District/FNS publications by the Public Relations and Community Engagement/Food & Nutrition Service Department. These include ads, newsletters, brochures, and other specifications requested.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:Designs district/department newsletter/menus. Arranges layouts based on space. Selects style, font, font side, leading, etc.Designs display ads for local newspaper and bargain shopper. Designs/updates department website as needed.Prepares layout of program flyers, certificates, invitations, calendars, brochures and any other district/FNS Department publications. Works with District Graphic Artist at the Media Center on layout and design.Types memos, press releases, Board Highlights, Media Networks, etc. Uses latest software and computer programs to produce publications. Follows established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties.Maintains confidentiality. Maintains a high level of ethical behavior as is expected of all District employees.Maintains professional growth by attending in-services and meetings as requested/required.Performs any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Director.
