Atlas Tech, a veteran-owned IT company serving multiple DoD customers in support of America's warfighters, is looking for an entry-level Technical Designer/Drafter in Charleston, SC. In this role, you will be responsible for creating technical drawings and designs for our DoD customer. You will collaborate with engineers, subject matter experts (SME), technicians, and other team members to produce accurate and precise technical drawings.

Payband:

$45,000-$77,000

You Will:

Create or update technical drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) softwareCollaborate with engineers, SMEs, project managers, and other drawing stakeholders to gather project specifications and feedback.Interpret and translate rough sketches and redlines into detailed and accurate drawingsEnsure compliance with technical drawing SOP, industry standards, and regulationsPerform design calculations and analysis, as necessaryReview and revise drawings to incorporate changes and correctionsCoordinate and communicate with other team members to ensure project deadlines are assigned, tracked, and realisticIdentify and resolve any potential issues or risksMaintain accurate documentation of design changes and revisionsContinuously update knowledge of CAD software and industry trendsYou Have:

U.S. CitizenshipAbility to obtain and maintain a SECRET-level security clearanceBachelor's degree, Associate's degree, or Certificate in Mechanical or Electrical Drafting,Engineering Design Graphics, or a related field. Candidates with degrees in Art or Design will be considered with CAD software experienceDesire to grow and develop into a highly skilled Technical Designer/DrafterExperience using CAD software and other design toolsStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsEffective communication skills and ability to work in a highly collaborative environmentKnowledge of welding, shipboard materials and spaces, and terminology is a plus
