Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Marine District Marketing Sales Manager to join our Marine team in a field position encompassing

Iowa, Indiana, Illinois, Indiana, E. Nebraska, and W. Kentucky.

The District Marketing Sales Manager will be responsible for the overall direction and Dealer development of the assigned territory and act as a business consultant to all Yamaha Outboard Dealers to mutually grow our business

What you'll be doing:

Ensuring successful sales relationships with our marine dealers for developing new business and fostering productive business partnerships with boat companies and boat sales representatives.Conduct sales training for dealer sales personnel and other staff as needed.Developing targets and goals as needed to achieve Yamaha objectives.Recognize and develop key sales strategies unique to Yamaha Outboards specific to the territory.Properly monitor and service the Yamaha Outboard dealer to ensure satisfaction as a customer of Yamaha.Prospect new business leads.Properly monitor and service the Yamaha Outboard dealer to ensure satisfaction as a customer of Yamaha.Continuously develop and update a strategic sales plan to achieve monthly sales targets as assigned to territory.Maintain a high level of competence and professionalism as a representative of Yamaha while continuing to develop ideas and actions to improve the overall professionalism of the territory.Implementation of all Yamaha Outboard Sales and Promotional opportunities to the dealer network.Accurately forecast outboard product needs for Dealer Accounts based on information collected from Yamaha Dealers, market trends and quantifiable data from past year’s sales.Review Dealer Sales Reports (Fiscal, Model, and Calendar year) and other miscellaneous sales reports as they relate to territory.Assist with boat builder meetings, corporate boat shows, local boat shows and dealer open houses.Maintain and track information for all Dealer sales programs, specific to territory.Ensure that Yamaha policies, procedures, and goals are properly communicated to the dealer network.What you need to be successful:

Bachelor’s Degree with minimum of 3-5 years related sales or sales management experience.Must be able to travel overnight, including one out of every three weekends.Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.Excellent verbal/written communication skills, as well as exceptional presentation skills.Excellent driving record.Must be self-motivated, able to work independently, and willing to relocate if necessary.Don’tmeet every single requirement?
