Job Title: Marketing Coordinator

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Marketing Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will implement best practices in proposal leadership and content development, support management in instilling these practices in junior team members, and continue working toward certification. You will review RFPs, Statements of Work, and specifications, understand key terms and acronyms, and develop compliance and project relevancy matrices for complex pursuits. You will lead kickoff calls and color team reviews, demonstrate an in-depth understanding of RFPs, and coordinate technical inputs with design staff. You will also interface directly and professionally with clients with minimal management oversight, lead interview preparation sessions, and drive content development. Additionally, you will research and provide extensive inputs for social media and website content for review.

Hard Skills

7 or more years of experience in proposal writing

Experience in Architecture, engineering, or construction industry

Experience in Shipley proposal process

Undergraduate degree

DOD experience required: DoS preferred

Adobe creative Suite - Highly Proficient

Linkedin & Instagram - Proficient

GovWin, Sam.gov; & ProjNet -- Demonstrates understanding of full breadth of resources across all sites; tracks specific pursuits

Soft Skills

Delegation of tasks and responsibilities - Understands direction and leads by example

Accountability - Meets all defined deadlines; demonstrates flexibility in responding to quick-turnaround requests; regularly manages multiple deadlines

Strategic recommendations - Provides initial suggestions as to projects, personnel, and content for submissions

Quality control - Follows the established guidelines for written and visual content, with minor corrections

Client focus - Is mindful of assigned deliverables; proactively identifies items within the department to complete; does not require manager and director C for most deliverables; able to liaise directly with executive team

Leadership - Receptive to feedback, course-corrects, and takes accountability for errors; requires some oversight

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s). First 12 months on Aston Carter's payroll. Offered benefits of Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Washington, District of Columbia and some days remote.

Work Environment

This position involves a significant amount of IDIQ work, responding to multiple task orders per week, with the average dollar amount of proposals being $250M. We offer a hybrid work arrangement, with 3 days in-office (either Monday or Friday can be remote, not both). During the initial training period, you will be required to be in the office every day. You will be reporting to the marketing director and working on a team with a Jr marketing/ proposal coordinator and director of visual communications.
