ASCO Equipment has a career opportunity for a Service Writer & Field Dispatcher in
Tyler, Texas . Experience with heavy equipment is preferred, however automotive industry experience may translate.
Service Writers directly engage with customers, service technicians, and other departments to coordinate/schedule preventative and other maintenance needs. They are responsible for facilitating service needs with customers and technicians.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Positively take ownership of customer experienceManage work orders: open, close, post time, enter notes and monitor progressPrepare accurate estimates for costs of repairs and present to customerMonitor and Manage accounts receivablesClearly and effectively communicate to customers, technicians and service managerProvide status updates on: work orders, troubleshooting, technician progress & general questionsMonitor phones for field technician and customer callsVarious other administrative dutiesBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
2+ years of experience as a heavy equipment service technician or service writerAbility to work in a fast paced/high volume dealershipDetail oriented, time management, and teamwork skillsExcellent customer service and communication skillsProficient computer skills, and experience with G-Suite & other service programsA personal dedication to work safety and accountability
