Medtronic is looking for a dynamic, motivated Communications Specialist to join our Cardiovascular Portfolio. In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage internal projects, collaborate with a team dedicated to employee and executive communications, and build relationships with strategic partners across Cardiovascular Portfolio and broader communications function. This position will support multiple operating units within the Cardiovascular Portfolio.

This role will be hybrid with a minimum of three in-office days per week based in Mounds View, Minn., Plymouth, MN, or another Medtronic location.

A Day in the Life

· Drives and implements communications programs and initiatives in collaboration with communications partners across the Medtronic Cardiovascular portfolio.

· Serves as a content creator and manager for our key communications channels, including SharePoint, Eloqua, newsletters, and Viva Engage. Maintains ongoing editorial calendar and provides ongoing analytics and incorporates feedback mechanisms and metrics into communications programs, and implements changes based on key findings that increase effectiveness.

· Manages some email distributions; responsible for creating/maintaining distribution lists and performance metrics reporting for key distributions.

· Drives employee engagement through hybrid global meetings, coordinating logistics across cross-functional partners and with IT and AV as needed, producing meetings in real time, managing apps, creating and distributing invites, and drafting executive pre- and post-meeting messages.

· Provides support for managing online press kits and ongoing media monitoring leveraging tools like Muckrack to inform business stakeholders of the key industry news relate to our business.

· Partners with Cardiovascular communicators to collect and track data, develop, and drive quarterly metrics reports for each of the operating units you support, along with providing key takeaways and recommendations on improvements based on the metrics.

· Partners closely with Cardiovascular communicators to support communications tactics for key programs, news, and announcements.

Must Haves

· Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of Communications or project coordinating experience in either a corporate environment or agency.

· Strong written and interpersonal communications skills

· Solid project and time management skills, including developing/administering timelines for projects

· Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and shift focus adeptly

· Microsoft Office suite prowess with an emphasis in PowerPoint; experience with Zoom, Eloqua, and SharePoint and overall tech savviness

· Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues at all levels of the organization

· Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information

· Ability to engage, brief, and manage third-party vendors

· Strong relationship-building and influence management skills

· Resourcefulness, flexibility, and ability to work in ambiguous situations

· A team player with a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude and willingness to learn and do new things

· Ability to flex and work effectively in both hybrid and in-person settings
