JOB SUMMARY:

The Digital Marketing Specialist position requires a highly motivated, innovative individual to assist with developing and implementing marketing programs to help Western States Cat (WSECO) win in the digital space. The Specialist position will collaborate with the Digital Marketing Team to satisfy tactics that include digital advertising, website content and maintenance, Google Analytics, social media support, and marketing automation in an effort to generate and track in-store/web traffic and sales leads to enhance the customer experience and Western States/Cat brand.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Safety

Actively cares, promotes, manages, and advocates safety at Western States. As a leader and team member in the organization, it is critical to ensure all employees, vendors, and clients have a safe work environment while adhering to all applicable safety policies, procedures and standards.Maintains clean/clutter free work areas to ensure safe environment for all WSECO employees.Adhering to required personal protective equipment (PPE) as identified in safety policy.Marketing & Strategy

Under the supervision of the Digital Marketing Supervisor, serves as an active team member of the marketing department in the development and implementation of marketing plans that support specific objectives. This would include collaborating with Marketing to develop a clear understanding for the business objective/desired end-result, and analyzing data, competitor and market information to help target and shape marketing programs.Supports marketing lead generation and awareness initiatives such as online/digital activities, basic web site development and email.Participates in the development and publication of organic social media content. Conducts social media audits to track effectiveness and ensure best practices are being used.Receives and processes marketing leads by validating the quality and forwarding them for appropriate sales action. Tracks and reports lead results to understand marketing program performance.Reports on marketing activities using available data and systems. Monitors results, costs and invoices.Conducts research of Western States’ competitors by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share, marketing strategy, pricing, and other attributes as identified.Achieves organization goals by exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.Works with digital ad platforms and vendor partners to manage digital ads, maximize exposure and report results.Develops and maintains highly organized filing system for vendors, clients, products, images and other marketing records.Prepares marketing reports and actions by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data as requested.Participates in monthly business unit digital marketing meetings, as required.Monitor budgets by comparing estimated costs and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.Completes projects under the direction of the Digital Marketing Supervisor.Safeguards the Cat and Western States brand identities as per established guidelines and expectations.Seeks educational opportunities in latest marketing products and trends to enhance knowledge and skill.Other duties as assigned.SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of or aptitude to learn marketing techniques and data analytics.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to build relationships with a variety of people and departments.Ability to independently set and manage priorities as well as stay organized while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.Exceptional attention to detail.Ability to adapt and change according to business and client needs, internal and external.Ability to travel overnight to support business needs, as required.Consistent attendance.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree preferred, business, marketing, communications, journalism, or related field preferred.Minimum of one-year digital marketing or similar industry experience required. Preference given to Construction, Engineering, Manufacturing, Automotive industry experience.Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write in English), Spanish would be a plus.PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:

Frequent walking, standing, driving, pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, climbing, twisting and leaning required.Must be able to lift a minimum of 30lbs.Must be able to meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies.
