Midtown is searching for a

Hotel Marketing Manager

at our Corporate Headquarters in Chicago. This is a newly created role!

Our flagship Chicago club has a boutique 55-room hotel-and you will run the marketing for the hotel. Midtown exists to inspire people to transform their lives. As our Hotel Marketing Manager, you will help us accomplish that goal by developing & executing The Hotel at Midtown's overall marketing strategy.

The Position

You will be responsible for the performance of our hotel marketing efforts, including the performance of the hotel's website, CRM and email marketing, social media, community events, partnerships, and agency relationships. You are a one-person-do-it-all marketer.

In your role, you will work closely with Midtown's club marketing team, as well as hotel operations and IT leadership to accomplish your goals-leading high-impact inter-department projects. You will manage the relationship with our hotel marketing agencies, including social media and website management.

To be successful in this role, you need the ability to switch seamlessly between strategic development and execution. You need to be a high-level problem solver, understanding how to use all the many tools at your disposal to accomplish your goal. You can manage multiple priority projects at once. You are a systems thinker who helps develop our structure and resources to deliver better results. You are an excellent communicator with strong writing skills, and comfortable writing customer-facing copy. You have a passion for learning, and always staying ahead of hotel marketing trends. You are comfortable managing and working within a budget.

You will report to our Director of Revenue Operations and sit on the RevOps leadership team. The team is based out of our HQ office in Chicago. You will have a strong working relationship with hotel management as well. The role is hybrid work-from-home and in the office.

Experience Required

Proven track record of success in leading and executing hotel marketing strategy.Experience creating successful digital marketing strategies, from insight to execution to reporting to improvement-including website SEO performance, email marketing, and social media strategy.Successful history in managing a digital media agency with digital ad spend, improving overall top-of-funnel volume, including search ads and social ads.Proven success developing community and business partnerships for hotels.Strong experience with change management, successfully communicating and getting alignment across an organization for a change you led.At least 5 years of experience in hotel marketing or a related field.

What Success Looks Like

Your KPIs will be Occupancy Rate, Average Daily Rate, and Third-Party Booking Rate. You stay on top of your KPIs, understanding trends on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis. You report on those KPIs with clarity and communicate the important levers that drive them.You manage key projects to deliver easy wins on your path to long-term transformative wins.You work with our digital media agency to identify ways to improve the efficiency of our digital ad spend, while driving booking volume that allows us to consistently beat our occupancy goals.You steadily improve our SEO performance, especially for high-intent searches.You integrate yourself into the rest of the Midtown team, developing strong relationships with other leaders at HQ and across the Chicago club.You live our core values every day.
