The Senior Lead Designer Jewelry will initiate and develop concepts each season that are reflective of the creative vision and Brand aesthetic. The Senior Lead Designer Jewelry demonstrates advanced category knowledge and expertise in all design competencies. They will intersect with the broader design community to mentor and teach, lead projects and corporate programs and partner with VPs to execute corporate strategies. Streamlines processes to create efficiencies. Self-initiates and educates to keep relevant.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Collaborates with V.P. Design to conceptualize and design jewelry collections that are in keeping with the brand DNACreates and present designs that are innovative, represent big new ideas and drive volumeAdhere to Brand standards and upkeepUnder the general direction of the VP Design, presents, articulates, and communicates design vision at key internal meetings on behalf of the design teamResponsible for upholding Brand design integrity, high quality execution and timeliness throughout the entire creative processOversee, mentor, train and coach designers and assistantsMay be responsible for managing Interns, Assistant Designers, Associate Designers and / or DesignersLead quarterly training workshops for Designer level and belowOversees and approves creation of accurate spec packs and technical drawings including the release in BackBoneUtilize 3D and illustrator to execute and present designsResponsible for continuous development of technical expertise to remain current and educatedMake presentations of design concepts both internally and externallyPartner with VP Design as active participants in the entire creative process including Inspiration Meetings, Big Ideas, RefiningEnsure design projects and BackBone updates are completed accurately and within deadlinePartner cross functionally with brand, merchandisers, product development and design teamParticipate in Meetings with cross functional partnersAbility to build and maintain a good rapport with internal & external customers and handle situations with confidence, tact, & resourcefulnessWork closely with international partners to ensure successful commercialization of product for feasibility, cost, price/value relationship, brand identityQualifications:

BFA or Equivalent10+ Years Design ExperienceExcellent sketching and free hand drawing / rendering skillsStrong computer skills - 2D programs (Photoshop, Adobe Suite: Illustrator, Power Point, Share Point, BackBone, Publisher or equivalent). 3D software skills (Rhino and/or Solidworks)Knowledge of competitive accessories market.Must possess a strong fashion sense and have the ability to interpret trendsKnowledge of technical jewelry constructionKnowledge of brands and product linesStrong interest in our productsResults-orientedFlexible with ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines in fast-paced environmentOrganized, detail-oriented and thoroughCreative problem solverHigh energy / Strong Work EthicHigh degree of customer focusFocus on team / relationship buildingVery strong communication and presentation skills
