Description

In 2025, CRCD (Coalition for Responsible Community Development) will celebrate 20 years of serving the community in South Los Angeles. Over the past 3 years, the organization experienced tremendous growth and 2024 has proven resiliency and unprecedented demand for CRCD's services. As the organization grows, so does the need for expanded Marketing. As the Marketing & Communications Coordinator, you will play a key role in increasing the visibility of the organization's work by helping to develop, execute, and monitor marketing programs across a variety of channels to multiple target audiences with varied demographics, create compelling marketing materials to promote our growing programs and support our dedicated programmatic team in changing lives in South Los Angeles.

Under the close direction of the Director of Marketing & Communications, the Marketing & Communications Coordinator has a general understanding of event planning (virtual and in-person) and community outreach to promote CRCD ecosystem of programs, including CRCD Enterprises, CRCD Partners, and the Local Rental Owners Collaborative (LROC).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Graphic design to create flyers, social media graphics, data-focused infographics, brochures, pamphlets, posters, etc. and distribute in online and offline channels.

• Produces copy and updates CRCD websites and LALROC.com and in WordPress or Wix as needed.

• Work throughout the CRCD ecosystem to gather internal success stories, upcoming events, and project launches.

• Creates and distributes monthly newsletters for CRCD and Local Rental Owners Collaborative.

• Utilization of all social media platforms to position CRCD as leader within the community, including organic vs. paid reach, content curation, and daily audience engagement.

• Attending openings, events, taking pictures, and editing photos, retouching as needed. The ability to edit video and photos is strongly desired.

• Work with departments to create content and support programs to meet their goals

on a limited budget.

• Maintain social media platforms to create posts, monitor pages, and address follower inquiries.

• Monitor the Local Rental Owners Collaborative email inbox and vet inquiries.

• Understands and executes grassroots marketing campaigns with assistance from Marketing and Communications Director.

• Utilize exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information to community members and collaborate with team members and external stakeholders.

• Spanish speaking is a plus.

• Apply problem-solving and analytical skills to independently manage and

prioritize multiple tasks and projects, ensuring timely and efficient

completion.

• Provide excellent customer service by promptly addressing and resolving internal and external requests, maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.

• Support operations of the Marketing & Communications Team.

Requirements

• High school diploma with 0-2 years' experience or an associate degree in

Marketing/Communications or related field with 1-2 years' experience

• Basic understanding in the use of software applications: Microsoft Office suite, Canva, and Adobe Creative Suites (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and Apple Products such as iMovie.

• Self -Starter with demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, and the ability to meet tight deadlines with competing priorities.

• Understanding of marketing processes, procedures, and internal controls

• College-level courses or certification in graphic design or related field of studies

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

• Strong project management skills and ability to multi-task.

• 1-2 years' experience in the non-profit industry is preferred but not required.

SALARY RANGE

$48,000-$53,000
