Founded in 1982 as Joliet Area Community Hospice, Lightways Hospice and Serious Illness Care is an independent, nonprofit healthcare provider licensed in 11 counties in northwest Illinois. We provide exceptional serious illness care, hospice care and grief support for adults and children.

The majority of our direct patient care is in the field with Lightways team members providing care in the home, nursing facility or assisted living facility. We also have a 20-bed inpatient unit in Joliet. Non-clinical staff are based out of our Joliet administrative offices.

We currently have a full time opening for a Marketing Communications Associate. This position works Mon-Fri with the ability to attend events on weekends/evenings. This position is responsible for creating messaging to support Lightways brand through all marketing channels which includes:

Build branding awareness and positioningEvaluate and maintain marketing strategy for LightwaysDevelop messaging and content for all social media platformsSchedule, track and troubleshoot all social media postings and commentingPresent ideas and final deliverables to internal and external teams, and communicate with senior leadership about marketing programsMaintain, update and enhance the organization websiteProduce, edit and broadcast training and promotion videos as directedIdentify effectiveness and impact of current marketing initiatives with tracking and analysis and optimize accordinglyTrack marketing data and create detailed written reports and verbal presentations to bring to senior leadershipCollaborate with marketing staff and outside vendors to develop detailed marketing plans for all media channelsAssist in creation and delivery of press releases, advertisements, and other marketing materialsThe successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in marketing, graphic design or related field and be a recent graduate to three (3) years of general marketing experience. The candidate will also possess the following skills:

Demonstrated branding knowledge including graphic design and copywritingHigh level skill set to create marketing campaign, marketing strategy and marketing planStrong knowledge of social media marketing and web managementProficient in the Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat, Photoshop, InDesign)Ability to manage and prioritize projects and deadlineFamiliarity with latest trends, technologies and methodologies in graphic design and production
