Position Summary

KIND is seeking a Temporary Director, Direct Marketing and Engagement. This temporary position will run from October 2024- April 2025 and project manage the KIND fundraising and engagement program. The incumbent will collaborate with a marketing agency and internal partners to manage donor cultivation, renewal, and solicitation campaigns, monthly giving, donor acquisition and stewardship, and digital advocacy efforts on channels including email, digital advertising, direct mail, SMS, and any other new channels as needed as part of this program.

Provide programmatic information and materials to a marketing agency and oversee final products that are produced for communications related to fundraising and engagement campaigning.

This a headquarters position based remotely from any location in the U.S.

Essential FunctionsLeads in the planning and implementation of a comprehensive fundraising and engagement program to aggressively grow annual support from donors with a giving level below $5,000, including sustainer giving.Collaborates with a marketing agency to execute donor cultivation, renewal, and solicitation campaigns, monthly giving, donor acquisition and stewardship, and digital advocacy efforts through channels like digital advertising, email, direct mail, SMS, and any other new channels as needed as part of this program.Serve as the final reviewer on all final drafts of emails, donation pages, and other digital collateral before launch, providing quality assurance checks to ensure content is error free and consistent with KIND's expectations.Manages the full content review process across multiple departments, ensuring all necessary parties provide feedback and approval on deadline for direct marketing content ahead of launch, including tracking review in Asana.Provides programmatic information and materials to a marketing agency and oversees final products that are produced for digital communications related to fundraising campaigning.Manages relationships with outside vendors and marketing agencies, including those focused on direct response fundraising and marketing efforts to ensure they are aligned with organizational objectives and agreed-upon deliverables.Manages relationships with internal stakeholders and partners to support direct response program, including collaborating with the Communications team to drive acquisition and paid media strategy, website content, and organic social media strategy.Other duties, tasks, and projects as assigned.Qualifications and Requirements

Undergraduate degree required.Minimum of 7 years of direct marketing leadership experience in fundraising at a non-profit or marketing agency; rapid response; email marketing; list building; writing and editing; and using data for decision making.Hands-on experience and demonstrated success in planning, developing, and delivering successful digital fundraising campaigns and project management.Experience using online tools, processes, and techniques for donor development, engagement, recruitment, retention, conversions, and list building.Experience managing relationships with vendors and success working in cross-departmental teams.Prior experience with CRMs, donation processing platforms, advocacy, and email marketing platforms. KIND's' ecosystem includes Salesforce, Engaging Networks, Asana, and WordPress. Experience in Engaging Networks and Asana is strongly preferred.Enjoys collaboration and thrives in a fast-paced team- and matrix-oriented working environment.Data-driven decision-maker who uses analytics and data to guide strategic decisions that align with digital goals, objectives, and initiatives.Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to message quickly and effectively reflect a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion values.Strong project management skills.Proactive, flexible, creative, and thrives with ambitious performance goals.Excellent judgment and resourcefulness.Energetic self-starter with outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, follow-through, and proven ability to work effectively under pressure.Familiarity with HTML, CCS, Google paid advertising, Facebook advertising campaigns, and graphic design are a plus.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (such as Teams, Excel, etc.)Ability to work collaboratively and multi-task in our KIND environment, managing numerous priorities and emerging opportunities.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects in a deadline-oriented environment; ability to prioritize tasks and delegate as appropriate.Ability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds, lived experiences, and communication styles.Commitment to prioritizing diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, as well as embracing transparency and authenticity in daily work life.Be disciplined and nimble to ensure delivery on our core mission of access to justice and protection of children's wellbeing and rights.Ability to multitask and work with a sense of urgency in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Committed to practicing and supporting wellbeing and a work-home life balance.Experience working and communicating in a remote environment.

$81,428 - $101,786 a year
