DescriptionShipping & Delivery Support (SDS) is a customer service organization dedicated to creating world class assistance for Amazons expanding logistics products and services. To achieve our mission, we are seeking an innovative and highly motivated Sr. Program Manager (PM), Internal Communications to lead and support the SDS Communications Team globally. This is an opportunity for a creative, dynamic, and results-driven internal communications professional to add significant value to the best in class SDS customer service team.The SDS organization is seeking a dynamic Sr. PM, Internal Communications with project management skills to join the SDS Communications Team. The SDS Communications Team serves the entire SDS organization, engaging SDS employees via internal communications that are relevant, clear, timely, and informative. The ideal candidate must be able to think critically, act tactically, write effectively and display strong organizational and communication skills. In addition, they will also serve as a subject matter expert for our internal communications channels, driving both short-term and long-term engagement initiatives for our employees and continuous improvement for their communications peers.We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:USA, TX, AustinUSA, TN, NashvilleUSA, WA, SeattleUSA, VA, ArlingtonKey job responsibilitiesLead a team of internal communication professionals in support of SDS globallyCreate communications content which is compelling, persuasive and effective to be used across a variety of communication channelsCreate and own the execution of strategic communication plans in support of global initiatives across the various SDS programsProactively build and manage relationships with key stakeholders across a range of businesses and geographiesAssist stakeholders in communication planning to ensure all employee-facing communications are delivered to the right audience, at the right time, and through the right channelsSet high communication standards and educate contributors on how to write for specific channels (e.g. email, intranet, video), and develop standard templates to enable teams to self-serve.Help drive adoption, engagement, and interaction across all internal communication platforms as part of our global communications strategyConduct ongoing analysis of communications and report on performancePrioritize competing projects and requests, managing multiple initiatives, and ensure prioritization and focus stay on top strategic objectivesA day in the lifeAmazon offers a full range of benefits to support you and eligible family members, including domestic partners and their children. We partner with Operations and Program Management to create multi-channel communications support to employees at SDS sites across brick and mortar (B&M), Remote Customer Service (VCS), Delivery Station Liaison (DSL), Global Outsourcing (GO), and Corporate. Additionally, we partner with the WWCS Communications Team (WWCS CT) for content and channel development and management and global employee campaigns.Basic Qualifications- 2+ years of program or project management experience- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements- Bachelor's degree- in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field- 2+ years experience as a Group Manager (GrpM) or Operations Manager (OM) supporting Amazon Customer Service- 2+ years experience using SIM, Asana, Quip, Microsoft Office Suite, TEAMs- 3+ years of recent internal communications, change management, or professional communications experience- Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field- Must be able to work out of one of the follow locations: USA, TX, Austin, TN, Nashville, WA, Seattle, or VA, Arlington- Demonstrated ability to develop effective communication content requiring minimal editing and rework- Ability to interact and influence employees at all levels, including senior executives- Must be comfortable in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and able to manage priorities well- Experience creating both digital content and written, video, or visual communications materialsPreferred Qualifications- Superior business communication skills- Executive communications experience- Experience driving change and influencing organizations through communications, from audience and stakeholder analysis through implementation and success metrics tracking- Possess a strategic approach to problems solving; able to anticipate potential issues- Strong judgment in ambiguous situations where much is unknown and there is a high degree of urgency.- Proven ability to think strategically and implement ideas from ideation to measurement/evaluation- Ability to exercise high judgment, particularly in narrow time frames.- Graphic design experience a plus- Bilingual or multilingualAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
