Description

Columbus Crew is seeking an energetic and collaborative Grassroots Marketing Coordinator to drive the Crew brand throughout Ohio. The Grassroots Marketing Coordinator is responsible for building relationships with key stakeholders in the community, generating new business leads, and helping provide access to the game & brand to drive fandom. This position will help develop & execute the Club's grassroots and community marketing strategy and work across all business functions of the Club and primarily collaborate with community, soccer operations, marketing and ticket sales.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Execute the Club's grassroots and community marketing strategy and day-to-day calendarBuild relationships with community organizations and event stakeholders that align and help elevate the Crew brandDrive leads to the Sales Department and work closely with Business Analytics to track revenue tied to leadsCollaborate with Community Relations, Youth Soccer & Camp Departments to ensure we are closely tied to youth soccer tournaments and developing "free play" programs in the areaCreate experiential activations that is inviting, engaging, and telling of the "Crew Fan Experience"Assist with hiring of the Energy CrewSchedule the Energy Crew for all community activations, Pub Network Events & matchdayServe as, or assign, an on-site, lead during community activationsCollaborate with social/ digital and creative teams to ensure delivery of all creative assets and supporting information for events and promotionsHelp develop the college outreach programServe as day-to-day contact & scheduler for eMLS playerAssist with MLS & MLS Next Pro matchdays, as necessaryOther duties as assigned by Sr. Director, Events & Grassroots Marketing & Manager, Fan Culture & DevelopmentRequired skills, experience & abilities

Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, Marketing or related fieldsMinimum of two (2) years experiential marketing, event manager, operations, community outreach or fan engagement experience through full-time or internship opportunitiesExperience within the Columbus market a plus, but not requiredStrong work ethic, positive attitude with keen eye for attention to detailCollaborative inter-departmentallyCreative thinker with an ability to stay organized with multiple projects with various deadlinesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated ability to lead a large group of staff and/or volunteersMust be a reliable, dependable, and positive team-playerStrong relationship-building skillsAble to work home matches and eventsAble to work some evenings, weekends and holidaysValid US Driver's license
