Job Summary
We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic professional to build relationships with our customers, able to Innovate content, both written and visual, for IEEE Conferences and Events (CEE). The incumbent in this position develops content for marketing through digital, visual and social media that supports our event business strategies to drive engagement, and business development. Innovate by using a strategic roadmap to develop a digital presence with the use of existing and new tools and services. The incumbent will develop content for the department's Customer Experience Program including voice to an international clientele. The incumbent will work very closely with business teams developing content to build community and effective communication channels, harmonizing sometimes divergent structures and timelines for presentation to the external customer base. The incumbent must be proficient in MS Office, Gmail, Google Apps, Constant Contact, and current social network services.
Key Responsibilities
Innovates Content, both written and visual, for CEE Communications and Web Presence Creates and Maintains Content for CEE Web Presence Partners with Internal and External Stakeholders including Digital Innovations, Volunteer Leadership, Vendors and Colleagues Conducts Analysis and evaluation of communications portal to perfect customer experience and support business development to support holistic progress and prioritizes based on strategic goals. Is responsible for copy writing and editing to meet CEE expectations for voice and visualization. Partners with Leadership team to create presentations that reflect the CEE digital experience Partners with Leadership team to define merchandising function including vendor selection, pricing and customer experience including copywriting as well as executes on the plan to align and define digital roadmap and support the CEE Knowledge Hub and manages content development. Regularly makes presentations and updates to leadership.
Education Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Concentration in English or Communications preferred. Req Work Experience 4-7 years digital communications and closely related experience, inclusive of copywriting Req
4-7 years project management experience, with strong interpersonal and writing skills Req.
4-7 years' experience with marketing and event environments Pref Excellent written and oral communications skills, and ability to prepare and deliver presentations to volunteers and staff at all levels.
Ability to lead a cross-functional team of stakeholders in a matrix management structure, to mutual agreement.
Must have exceptional diligence, and strong timeline/deadline management skills to balance competing priorities.
Must be a technology savvy knowledge worker who seeks out technology solutions to business challenges and processes.
