Senior UX Designer / Researcher

Job Summary: We are seeking a talented and experienced UX Designer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in driving discovery, design, workflows and usability testing activities for both our surgical navigation product and data products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in user research, UX design, and a good understanding of the software development lifecycle. Experience in the medical product industry and familiarity with hardware/software integration is a plus.
ResponsibilitiesConduct user research through customer interviews, surveys, and usability testing to gather insights and identify user needs, pain points, and behaviors.Create and maintain user journey maps, personas, and scenarios to inform design decisions.Translate research findings into presentations, design concepts, requirements, wireframes, and prototypes.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, product owners, UX designers, engineers, and stakeholders, to ensure user-centered design principles are integrated throughout the development process.Develop and iterate on workflow and interaction designs, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.Utilize existing Design System and UI styles to maintain design consistency across products.lways learning about new industry trends, competitor medical devices, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX design and research.Focus on streamlining workflows and improving the efficiency of user interactions to enhance overall user satisfaction and productivity.Identify opportunities to optimize and simplify complex processes, reducing cognitive load and minimizing user errors.Measure the impact of design changes on user efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring that the UX improvements directly contribute to better user outcomes and experiences.
SkillsMust have
Bachelor's degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, or a related field.Minimum of 2 years of experience in
UX design and user researchExperience conducting user research, including customer interviews, usability testing, and creating user journey maps.Familiarity with hardware/software integration and the challenges associated with designing for both.Proficiency in design and prototyping tools. We use
Figma and Miro.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex research findings into actionable design solutions.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present ideas and influence stakeholders effectively.Knowledge of software development processes and the ability to work closely with development teams to ensure design implementation.Strong proficiency in interaction design, with a solid understanding of user-centered design principles.

product industry, including familiarity with
IEC 62366-1
(application of usability engineering to medical devices), FDA Human Factors Guidance, and IEC 62304 (software lifecycle processes for medical devices).Familiarity with UI kits and/or design systems and maintaining design consistency across products.Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices in medical device design.Experience with Jira and Agile methodology.Experience designing for 3D applications or in 3D modeling
