Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Marketing Project Manager with a strong focus on commercialization of new products and stage-gate responsibilities. This role will involve close collaboration with the marketing team in bringing new products, new packaging formats, new packaging designs, and other new products to life.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and continuously improving our commercialization process, ensuring seamless coordination of multiple projects across multiple departments, and effectively communicating project updates and decisions needed to the Executive Leadership Team.

This role will work closely with internal and external partners to create new packaging assets, route those assets to the appropriate regulatory bodies, ensure assets are thoroughly reviewed within the organization, and are finalized for production on relatively aggressive timelines.

The Marketing Project Manager will report directly to the VP of Marketing and is expected to be in the Los Angeles office approximately 3 days a week. We are only accepting local candidates for this role.

Actively manage commercialization projects, ensuring timely and successful launch of new products and packaging formats into the marketplace.Partner closely with Sales and Marketing to ensure alignment on prioritization of existing projects and rapid intake of new projects.Develop and control detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules.Ensure stakeholders are updated on project status, raise urgent issues in a timely manner, and secure appropriate decisions in order to keep projects moving forward.Optimize resource allocation and utilization; secure alignment on project prioritization with Executive Leadership Team.Perform risk planning and implement risk management strategies.Route graphics and labels for approval between Quality and Marketing teams, as well as engaging with appropriate legal and regulatory partners for pack design approval.Collaborate with Quality to obtain necessary product certifications and ensure they are ready in time for first productions.Responsible for New Item Set Up across multiple systems and platforms (GS1, 1WorldSync, ERP, warehouses, SPINS/IRI and retail portals).Manage change across cross-functional departments.Support and refine processes as needed for efficiency.Actively manage commercialization projects, ensuring timely and successful launch of new products and packaging formats into the marketplace.Partner closely with Sales and Marketing to ensure alignment on prioritization of existing projects and rapid intake of new projects.Develop and control detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules.Ensure stakeholders are updated on project status, raise urgent issues in a timely manner, and secure appropriate decisions in order to keep projects moving forward.Optimize resource allocation and utilization; secure alignment on project prioritization with Executive Leadership Team.Perform risk planning and implement risk management strategies.Route graphics and labels for approval between Quality and Marketing teams, as well as engaging with appropriate legal and regulatory partners for pack design approval.Collaborate with Quality to obtain necessary product certifications and ensure they are ready in time for first productions.Responsible for New Item Set Up across multiple systems and platforms (GS1, 1WorldSync, ERP, warehouses, SPINS/IRI and retail portals).Manage change across cross-functional departments.Support and refine processes as needed for efficiency.What will make you successful in this role:

5+ years of project management experience, preferably with a focus on commercialization of new products and stage-gate processes.Strong understanding of cross-functional coordination and experience working with multiple departments.Excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills.Demonstrated ability to develop and manage project plans, budgets, schedules, and resources.Proficiency in project management tools and software; SmartSheet experience preferred.Strong problem-solving and risk management skills.Can do attitude necessary for a startup environment where we need to wear multiple hats and do what it takes to get the job done.Strong sense of urgency and a self-starter with a desire to grow personally and professionally.Comfortable with ambiguity: ability to map out processes and approaches without prior examples, experience or explicit, directive guidance.Why join us?
