Future Warfare Wargame Designer

position supporting the Army Wargaming Branch of Army Futures Command, Futures and Concept Center, Future Warfare Division (FWD). Analysts participate in FWD's Future Study Program (FSP) events throughout the study year conducting collection and analysis of observations for an operational level wargame set in 2040.

Responsibilities:

Lead and participate in deep future wargaming events from planning to post-execution.Work with customer to define game objectives and identify a commercial or custom build a game structure or framework which best addresses them.Demonstrated experience in creating and executing original tabletop boardgames/wargames for emerging wargame requirements.Plan and execute required wargame support, develop clear and concise written products, and present wargame materials to warfighters in support of wargame objectives.Create written and other products for game participants, such as scenarios, background information, role descriptions, and game rules.Lead training of wargame participants on wargame rules and processes during wargames and Table Top Exercise (TTX) events.Apply wargame rules and methods to determine outcomes of participant actions within games.Support methodology to build and execute a data collection and analysis plan and assist analysts to generate post-game reporting based on data collected.Conducts event set-up and tear-down.Other duties as directed by program managerQualifications:

Active Secret security clearanceBachelor's degree and 5+ years designing, developing, testing, executing, and analyzing wargame processes and demonstrated knowledge of military operations.Able to travel 6-9 weeks a year spread across 2-4 wargame eventsPreferred Experience :

Game design degree10+ years playing table-top boardgames/wargamesMilitary leadership positions, experience briefing Senior Government and Flag-OfficersExperience facilitating Seminar/Matrix style wargamesExperience with Operational Wargame System (OWS).

Salary: $80,000
