Job Summary

Under general supervision, this position supports the ITS-Infrastructure & Platform Services group and their interface with other campus systems and services; provides physical communications and network infrastructure and associated systems analysis, modification, maintenance, installation and support and interfaces with internal ITS staff and the user community on the use of these systems and infrastructure. Supports enterprise-level campus copper and optical fiber cable, conduit, data and network operations centers and other related infrastructure and systems including but not limited to wired and wireless data networks (Ethernet), cable television distribution systems, telephone systems with digital and analog services and two-way radio systems. This position also maintains and supports assigned documentation, designs, and standards to ensure accuracy, buildability, long-term maintenance planning and system reliability.

As an RCDD, you will lead and coordinate the technical aspects of telecommunications design, implementation, and ongoing management across our campus. You'll work closely with internal teams, external vendors, and campus stakeholders to ensure that projects meet industry standards and university specifications. This role requires a balance of technical expertise and leadership skills, as you will be responsible for guiding a team, overseeing construction plans, and ensuring excellent customer service.

Department Summary

Key Qualifications

Reviewing construction plans to ensure they meet telecommunications standards and university specifications.Advising internal teams and external vendors on technical impacts, design choices, and project requirements.Collaborating with campus partners and ITS leadership to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.Developing Statements of Work (SoW) for managing technical vendors and overseeing contractors to ensure contractual agreements are met.Demonstrated experience with standardized construction change orders, RFIs, submittals, vendor management, negotiations, and escalations.Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience.Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for up to two years of the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Salary and Benefits

Anticipated Hiring Range: $100,000 - $110,000 Per Year

Classification Range: $58,944 - $145,488 Per Year
