The Opportunity

The Director, Strategic Marketing Samsung Ads is responsible for owning the strategy and overseeing the execution of marketing programs for targeted core and growth advertising businesses across Samsung Ads Americas including U.S. and Canada.

Reporting into the Head of Marketing, Samsung Ads, NASB, this leader will leverage an integrated marketing approach to drive measurable business results against key strategic initiatives in direct support of the Samsung Ads business.

We are looking for a highly skilled individual with deep expertise in B2B media marketing strategies and revenue generating marketing support. This professional should possess a keen understanding of the CTV state, preferable FAST, as well as the data, insights and performance components that go into creating points of difference.

The right candidate for this role has experience and expertise across the marketing mix, and is skilled at managing multiple priorities, collaborators, and project management. This person must be extremely organized and results driven. Goals include: measurable business impact in terms of core marketing KPIs and pipeline/revenue supported.

The Samsung Ads marketing objectives are shaped around raising brand awareness, elevating positioning, educating and engaging media agencies and advertisers on Samsung Ads CTV advertising opportunities.

The candidate should thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and effectively handle working across different teams and priorities. The candidate should have an entrepreneurial mind-set, taking ownership in creating opportunities, aligning to the yearly plan but also being flexible to take advantage of new opportunities. He/She will be expected to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all appropriate levels within and outside the company.

This role will work hands-on across the marketing, sales and solutions teams as key stakeholders and collaborators - leading the development of marketing initiatives and programs along-side B2B brand marketing, marketing comms, creative services, event marketing, and Samsung TV Plus. Key responsibilities and deliverables:

Oversee the development of marketing strategy and execution for Samsung Ads launches, activations, bespoke solutions and client engagement for all vertical, platform and enterprise advertising sales efforts.Collaborate with marketing colleagues in brand marketing, creative services, PR, events and marketing operations on planning and fulfillment for the above executions, determine measures of success and establish marketplace messaging and best practices.Collaborate with core stakeholders in Sales, NPS, Product, Service Businesses, STVP and BD to maximize all offerings and promote marketplace understanding of Samsung Ads benefits to the advertiser community against specific vertical and business target needs.Liaise with marketing and sales and NASB leadership to define and execute marketing efforts in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.Supervise vertical activation strategies against e.g. event creation, event sponsorships, socially-oriented networking/ client appreciation, PR, email campaigns, thought leadership, social media, paid media, etc. to ensure support for the key business objectives.Create unique client engagement experiences (e.g. new marketing-driven interactive tools, etc.) to create reasons to engage and relationship building opportunities with Samsung Ads.Lead the evaluation of executions and results leveraging engagement data and identify opportunities for future optimization.Convey and translate best practices on a regional basis.Skills Needed:

12-14 years working in an organization that supports the Advertising Sales function with F100 brands. Publisher or ad tech experience a plus.Bachelor's degree in Business, Advertising, Marketing or related field.Proven and visible marketing veteran with experience in developing innovative and proven marketing programs to drive specific KPIs e.g. account penetration or deepening client relationships.Experience in vertical-specific, digital and or television marketing and working knowledge of vertical advertising trends.Highly skilled and experienced in creating, executing, and measuring B2B marketing strategies and executionClose working relationships with creative teams and agencies with experience directing collateral presentations and material developmentSkilled at sizing and balancing between priorities and initiatives to ensure proper resource and budget allocation and support.Demonstrated agility in a fast-paced, changeable work environment with excellent leadership, management, and communication skillsAbility to provide clearly present strategies and plans and gain alignment with leadership.Ability to build relationships, influence senior management and build consensus to achieve business ends

The salary range for this role is expected to be between $215,000 and $240,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
