About the Role

As the Interior Design Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing interior design projects within the real estate development and construction sectors. You will oversee complex projects incorporating products from multiple sources, synthesize data into concise reports for management, and utilize advanced skills in Excel and spreadsheet management. Additionally, you will ensure the successful completion of projects, maintain accurate project documentation, coordinate with project teams and external partners, and address any issues promptly to maintain project timelines and client satisfaction.

ResponsibilitiesOversee FF&E and OS&E Projects (both traditional procurement and custom FF&E)Liaise with interior designers to confirm final specsManage procurement process: Initial budgets, RFP, Cost Comparison, Issuing of POs & TrackingManage schedule: Identify major milestones & critical dates, tracking of orders, etc.Coordinate logistics: high-level coordination, delegation to team, and identify critical trackingReview plan sets, renderings, and spec booksRead plans to conduct take-offs and counts Review shop drawings for accuracy, detail, design, and standardsCoordinate submittal process for shop drawings, finish samples, and CFAs to interior designersLiaise with project stakeholders (architects, designers, owners reps, hotel owners) and attend meetingsSporadic on-site visits - overseeing installation & build-outCollaborate with RFP, Supply Chain, and Field teams throughout the projectsReport to the department head on general project status, budget status, etcLiaise with the department head and finance team to reconcile and check budgets, foresee cash flow requirements, etcIdeal Background

Minimum 5-7 years work experience in hospitality design and FF&EExperience managing complex with many moving partsTechnical/professional training or a two-year degree, a plus if it's an Interior Design degreeAbility to read and understand construction drawings, furniture spec plans, or other architectural drawingsAbility to analyze, problem-solve, and make decisions in accordance with company protocolProven organizational skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)Exceptional written and verbal communication skillsWillingness to work flexible hours to support the team and meet customer expectationsStrong interpersonal skillsAbility to travel for projects and meetings on an occasional basis (15% travel max)
