Position Overview:
The Content Designer will be a part of the Creative Services team within marketing. In Creative Services, you will work alongside other content designers, visual designers, SEO specialists, and creative operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong writer looking to gain experience with various types of content creation.
Our content designers serve all marketing channels while collaborating closely with other departments like product, support, and more. Opportunities include long-form blog writing, social media management, email creation, ad copywriting, web content, PR-focused writing, social responding, and other forms of customer outreach.
We believe our content is critical to designing and delivering excellent experiences. All marketing channels and customer engagement efforts work together to foster this broader goal.
The ideal candidate will have a clear vision of how their work contributes to an overall consistent and on-brand customer experience.
Responsibilities :Create and publish original, high-quality content for TaxSlayer and TaxSlayer ProPartner with the SEO team to optimize existing blog and web content, plus create new content based on data-backed opportunities to increase traffic and engagementEnsure TaxSlayer's brand reputation is enhanced by social media content with timely, accurate, informative, and engaging contentWork with fellow content designers to create content as part of the larger brand and content strategyWrite and edit to ensure all content is consistent and clear to best serve our customersCollaborate with all necessary departments and stakeholders to promote awareness and alignment on projects and initiativesPreferred Skills and Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in marketing, PR, journalism, communications, or related fieldExcellent writer, well-versed in content development with a focus on customer experienceStrong editorial skills with attention to brand consistency and SEO best practicesMinimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar roleAbility to develop relevant, timely content and operate with a newsroom mentalityUnderstand how to create seamless, optimized content for a variety of channels and platformsOrganized with the ability to multitask and execute on tight deadlinesExperience working in modern project management tools and content management systems, such as Asana and WordPressAbility to work independently while effectively incorporating feedback from other team membersSelf-motivated and goal-driven - excited to learn new skills and pursue professional development opportunitiesPHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
