We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Technical Writer to join our team. The Cybersecurity Technical Writer will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality documentation related to cybersecurity policies, procedures, and technologies. This role requires strong writing skills, technical expertise in cybersecurity, and the ability to translate complex technical information into clear and concise documentation.Responsibilities

Documentation Development:

Create, edit, and maintain comprehensive documentation related to cybersecurity policies, procedures, guidelines, and best practices. Ensure all documentation is accurate, clear, and accessible to intended audiences.Technical Writing:

Write detailed technical documentation for cybersecurity tools, systems, and processes. This includes user manuals, technical specifications, and system architecture diagrams.Policy and Procedure Documentation:

Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies and procedures. Ensure all documents comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.Collaboration:

Work closely with cybersecurity teams, IT staff, and other stakeholders to gather information and understand documentation requirements. Ensure documentation accurately reflects current practices and technologies.Research and Analysis:

Conduct research on cybersecurity trends, threats, and best practices. Analyze complex technical information and distill it into clear and concise documentation.Content Review and Editing:

Review and edit documentation created by other team members to ensure accuracy, consistency, and clarity. Provide feedback and guidance to improve the quality of documentation.Training Materials:

Develop training materials and user guides to support cybersecurity awareness and education initiatives. Ensure materials are user-friendly and effective in conveying key concepts.Version Control:

Implement and maintain version control processes for documentation. Ensure all documents are up-to-date and reflect the latest changes in cybersecurity policies and procedures.Compliance:

Ensure all documentation complies with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices. Address any compliance issues and implement necessary adjustments to meet requirements.Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for improving documentation processes and practices. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in cybersecurity and technical writing.Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.4+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably with a focus on cybersecurity or IT.Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies.Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.Ability to translate complex technical information into clear and concise documentation.Proficiency with documentation tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, MadCap Flare, Confluence).Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Technical Writer, CISSP, CISM) are a plus.$110,000 - $125,000 a year
