A Day In The Life of the Senior Upstream Marketing Manager :

Lead the development of upstream marketing strategies and plans to drive product development and market expansion

Conduct market research and analysis to identify unmet needs, market trends, and competitive landscape

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, clinical, regulatory, and sales, to define product requirements and develop product roadmap aligned with targeted commercial goals

Identify pricing and packaging strategies to optimize operational efficiency and margin while maintaining competitive pricing advantages

Drive the development of key marketing deliverables, including market requirements documents, product positioning, messaging, and value propositions

Develop and execute product launch plans, including market segmentation, pricing strategy, and go-to-market tactics

Establish and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, customers, and strategic partners

Monitor and analyze market performance, customer feedback, and competitive activities to identify opportunities for growth and innovation

Develop and maintain commercial materials essential to supporting sales and revenue enablement - e.g. price book, system configuration/compatibility matrix

Track and report on financial performance of capital and disposable product lines against KPIs for volume, margin, ASP, etc.

About You:

Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field; MBA preferred

7+ years of experience in upstream marketing or product management in the medical device industry

Strong understanding of medical device regulations, including FDA requirements

Proven track record of successful product launches and market expansion

Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
