SKIMS is looking for a talented and experienced UX/UI designer and researcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies, as well as the ability to translate user needs into intuitive and user-friendly interfaces. The successful candidate will also have experience conducting user research and usability testing.
Responsibilities
User Research and Analysis:
Conduct user research through surveys, interviews, and usability testing to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain pointsAnalyze and synthesize research findings to identify opportunities for enhancing UX
Information Architecture And Wireframing
Develop intuitive information architectures and user flows that guide users through features logically and efficientlyCreate low-fidelity wireframes and prototypes to visualize and iterate on design conceptsImplement and maintain component library, user experience guidelines, digital style guides and visual standards.
Interaction Design
Design interactive and engaging user interfaces that prioritize ease of use and aestheticsDefine interaction patterns, micro-interactions, and animations that enhance the overall user experience
Visual Design
Produce high-quality visual designs (including basic assets and wireframes/mockups)–from concept to execution, including those for desktop, web, and mobile devices at a variety of resolutions.
Collaboration And Communication
Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that designs meet user needs and business goalsMake strategic design and user-experience decisions related to current and new functions/features.
Usability Testing And Iteration
Collaborate with Product on vetting and onboarding a user testing platformContinuously iterate on designs based on user feedback, usability findings, and industry best practices
Key Skills And Experience
Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction, or a related field7-10 years of experience in UX/UI design and researchStrong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologiesExperience with user research methods, such as surveys, interviews, and usability testingAn understanding of e-commerce best practices focused on optimizing conversion and AOVFamiliarity with front-end development principles and their impact on designSolid understanding of Agile/Lean UX techniquesExperience with prototyping tools, such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XDExcellent communication and collaboration skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPassion for designing great user experiences
$150,000.00 - $170,000.00 a year
