Job Description
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

This class is responsible for Manager for supervising CCR associates as well as developing and implementing PWC's internal and external communication strategies. This role involves creating effective messaging to promote the organization's mission, objectives, and initiatives to various stakeholders, including employees, customers, partners, and the public under the general direction of the Director of Communications and Community Relations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Develop Communication Strategies:

•Create and implement comprehensive communication plans to support organizational objectives.

•Develop internal processes for crafting and reviewing communication deliverables.

•Identify key messages and target audiences to ensure effective communication.

Content Creation:

•Write, edit, and proofread a variety of communication materials, including press releases, articles, newsletters, internal & external presentations, and social media posts.

•Ensure content is clear, engaging, and consistent with the organization's brand, messaging, & voice.

Media Relations:

•Build and maintain relationships with local and regional media outlets.

•Coordinate media interviews, press conferences, and other public relations activities.

•Serve as the company's spokesperson when necessary.

•Cultivate relationships with partner organizations media representatives (City of Fayetteville, Cumberland County, Fayetteville Fire & Police...)

Internal Communications:

•Work with internal stakeholder regarding internal communication channels to keep employees informed and engaged.

•Manage content for internal newsletters, intranet, and other communication platforms.

Crisis Communication:

•Develop and assist in the implementation of crisis communication plans to effectively manage and respond to potential issues or emergencies.

Stakeholder Engagement:

•Engage with stakeholders, including customers, partners, and community members, to build positive relationships and gather feedback.

•Organize and coordinate events, webinars, and other outreach activities to promote engagement.

Performance Analysis:

•Monitor and analyze communication metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.

•Report on key performance indicators (KPIs).

EQUIPMENT OPERATED: Computer, calculator, communication equipment, and other equipment, as required.
FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

•Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and communication tools/platforms.

•Experience with social media management and digital marketing.

•Ability to work nights, weekends, and on call.

•Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

•Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information ethically and responsibly.

•Knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in communications and media.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduation from a four (4) year accredited university/college or technical school with a degree/certification in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field and a minimum of five (5) years of experience and an additional three (3) years of managerial/supervisory experience.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must possess and maintain a valid North Carolina Driver's License.

Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
