Cornett Roofing Systems is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Marketing to lead our residential roofing sales and marketing initiatives. This role involves developing and executing strategic sales and marketing plans, managing field marketing teams, and driving marketing campaigns across multiple markets, including Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Louisville, Lexington, Chicago, Nashville, and St. Louis. With a potential to make $150k+ as the company continues to expand, this is an exciting opportunity to grow with us and make a significant impact on our business.

We take pride in specializing in niche, long-lasting roofing systems such as metal, slate, tile, and wood shake, along with solar energy solutions. Beginning as a typical asphalt shingle installer in 1991, Cornett Roofing has grown into a full-service roofing contractor, delivering the industry's best in quality, customer service, and professionalism on every project we undertake. We have a full line of proprietary roofing products we have manufactured, distributed, and installed extensively over the last two decades with great success.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans to achieve company goals and increase market share.
  • Marketing Campaigns: Create and execute marketing campaigns utilizing various channels, including digital, brochures, presentations, advertisements, and social media.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with customers, industry partners, real estate professionals, and professional groups.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and trends.
  • Industry Events: Coordinate and attend industry events to promote Cornett Roofing Systems, with opportunities to travel.
  • Sales Team Leadership: Lead and manage sales teams, set targets, provide training programs, run sales meetings, and monitor performance.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze sales and marketing metrics, preparing regular reports for senior management and the VP of Sales.
  • Sales Team Development: Onboard, teach, and instill confidence in new sales representatives, providing a path to success.
  • Technical Expertise: Answer roofing-related questions and provide expert advice to clients and salespeople, ensuring the promotion of high-quality products and installations.
The ideal candidate should possess:
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in sales and marketing, preferably in the construction or roofing industry.
  • Track Record: Proven success in developing and executing sales and marketing strategies.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in digital marketing tools, CRM software, and platforms.
  • Goal-Oriented: Ability to set and achieve goals and demonstrate the process to others.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and metrics to make informed decisions.
  • Driving Check: Ability to pass a driving background check and screening to operate company vehicles.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with industry organizations such as the Metal Roofing Alliance, Slate Roofing Contractors Association, Tile Industry Alliance, and National Association of Church Facility Managers is a plus.
