The Shaw Contract Marketing Manager for Data & Samples is the main steward of all Shaw Contract Product data and owner of the Shaw Contract samples experience. They will lead all Shaw Contract product data management projects and initiatives, managing the private-label program, and leading the post-launch sample experience strategy to meet customer needs while elevating the brand. The role requires a strong understanding of our business, systems, and processes. They will proactively engage with key internal stakeholders within the organization to ensure accuracy of product data and efficiency of the sample experience. They will develop and lead a team of coordinator(s) and/or specialist(s) to manage the private-label program, sample remakes, and a variety of data stewardship responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Product Data Management
Verify, input, communicate, and maintain all product specifications (new, existing, and private-label products), ensuring the data is accurate and consistent in all product databases.
Collaborate with our global marketing team to help maintain all global specifications and product data, considering regional needs.
Manage Salesforce.com (SFDC) product data to enhance the sales team product experience.
Lead new product data enhancements with global IT service partners - developing strategy, driving new initiatives, developing requirements documents, timelines, etc., while identifying data management and sample process improvement opportunities with all internal and external partners.
Collaborate across the Shaw enterprise to share best practices and facilitate alignment and synergies when possible.
Serve as a liaison for the samples department to ensure the Shaw Contract Showroom Managers maintain the showroom sample inventory system.
Manage brand product data in the Mindful Materials Library and other third-party Sustainability Database systems.
Partner with Digital Strategist to implement the Natural Language Processing (AI) initiative within Shaw Contract to create customer-facing and internal AI-based tools to enable customers to quickly find answers to their questions.
Sample Experience Management
Oversee sample expense budgets, track expenses, and develop cost management tools to ensure greater sample utilization and efficiencies.
Lead team responsible for all Shaw Contract sample replenishment/remakes (swatches, folders, chain sets, pom/pom boxes, etc.) to ensure sample inventory is maintained as needed for domestic and global needs.
Assist Global Marketing Manager with new global product launches, collaborating with key stakeholders (i.e., marketing, design and R&D teams, sample department, manufacturing, customer service and vendors) throughout the process.
Oversee all Shaw Contract custom and private-label sample needs, including specification generation and sample tools and materials, while developing processes track costs and report on private-label ROI.
Coordinate with our digital/IT teams, customer service, and sample department to ensure the best website sample ordering experience.
Oversee the sample return and recycling program client experience.
Assist Product Introduction Specialist as needed in periods of heavy new product launch activity.
Lead the sample experience strategy by working with the marketing and design team to continuously innovate and enhance the client sample experience and ensure our brand standards are followed throughout every touchpoint of sampling.
Position Requirements
4-year degree or equivalent data and/or samples management work experience.
Excellent computer skills.
2+ years of experience working with data systems (Relational databases, master product data systems, inventory management software, or similar systems).
Meticulous, analytical, and strategic mindset; able to translate data and insights into actions.
Possess excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills
Proficiency with Shaw data systems (EBX, TTR, MDM, MSS, PDMS).
Experience in database design principles and best practices.
Knowledge in the areas of global markets, foreign cultures, and international business operations.
